Tesa fleece tape works great for this as it's soft. It's the tape found on OEM wiring in cars. https://a.co/d/4g4blCp

But isn’t all this bending moot after you bolt on the wheel?

Can you specify? I don’t know what intend does. But yeah I believe RS is making thousands of forks per day (a lot of volume comes from the lower end stuff you guys don’t think much about- eg Judy). Or at least was during the Covid peak. Tact time is a real issue. I’d worry about those rotating burnish tools scraping/burning material off the bushings. Fill the lower leg with bushing dust. The factory sizing method is different and that is what is tested and validated by engineering team. YMMV. One longevity trick is to wash your lowers when you...

As a trail builder who likes clean forests, f*** course tape, that plastic ribbon has a way of sticking around forever. I'm talking in generalities here, not necessarily WCDH, but I'd like to see tape completely go away (same with tear-offs). Poles are a better solution, just need to use a wee bit of common sense. Stripe them if they're...

Sell it at peak COVID, buy it back for pennies on the dollar in peak tariffs. The only way to make money in the bike industry?

Watching the DH world cup in the US, is it just standard Max we need, or some add-on? Making sure I'm set up for Sunday's race. Easiest calendar to view for DH is Roots and Rain: 2025 Whoop UCI World Cup DH - Roots & Rain

10spd 11-50 steel cassette has worked fine with my 70nm e8000. Im wondering with 100nm and 750w will an 9 , or even 8 , 11-48 or 46 be a nice even mix. It could even out the wear on the cassette and even have a shorter cage der

My Repeater EP801 is built with robot t-type, feels like total overkill. I'm thinking about going to 11 spd, probably SRAM X01 or the full steel version of GX. All my wheels are xd so I'll stick with that. I do a lot of punchy ass tech climbs (when healthy) and 32-42 is the lowest useful gear without spinning out...

Hey I'm back (with Rocky). I might post a bit less here as I navigate current state of the bike industry; I've got a mountain of work to get through after being away from it all for 5 months. Thanks for the well wishes.

On the front I've got an Assegai EXO+ Maxxgrip because that's what was already on there when I put the Forekaster on. I've been meaning to put something faster on the front but in the meantime I haven't noticed or been bothered by the traction difference at all. The Forekaster breaks away a bit sooner than the DHRII it replaces, but in the current conditions (dry, loose over hardpack) that breakaway is a little more gradual and predictable. If anything that matches the behavior of the Assegai a little bit better than the DHRII. I'm curious what concerns you about...

A lot of bikes suffer from this, another one that comes to mind is the Cannondale Jekyll, reach on a L is 475 and XL is 510, I'm just under 6'2" and had an XL V1 Sentinel that was 500mm and that felt too long for me. Currently on a S3 Privateer 161 that is 490 and get along very well with that length, while my L REEB SST is 480 and definitely wouldn't want to go any shorter than that.

Thats a great interview that nicely articulates how essential scale and specialization is, and why higher end/IBD bikes are (and will remain) so brutally expensive. TIL that Youngone purchased Scott Sports. They're a huge company that also owns Outdoor Research along with their legacy biz of fabrics and apparel factories in Korea. I know former executives and employees of OR...

I'm guessing his parents might be managing him for now.. I think a lot of people are assuming since Martin is managing the team for Neko that Asa is automatically going to be with 23 degrees... While his parents seem to be pretty smart, I think when his next contract comes around, having an agent probably wouldn't be a bad idea, IMO...
