Anything to prevent creaking is a big hell yeah from me. I've beat this poor horse to death, but single crown forks shouldn't be a disposable item for the bigger and/or smashier set. It seems like a thread-on crown race that in turn squeezes a flanged steer tube around the upper crown could fully prevent creaking when combined with this...

This came through my inbox this morning, and I figured at least a few water pack yielding individuals would find it interesting/practical. The Ai voice is also too much 😂 Kickstarter HERE

Nothing really new here, but EXt working on some "normal" looking mud gards! Hope that fox offers a similar one in the future. Gives the USD fork kind of a more "normal" look. (I say normal just because im not used to USD forks in mtbs, but they do look good)

Not in the bike industry, but in movies there is a correlation between how early reviews are released and eventual ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. The longer the gap is between the review release and theatrical debut, the higher the score is: Embargo dates and Rotten Tomatoes scores: What's the relationship? | Mashable This probably doesn't relate 1:1 with MTB, especially as small companies likely do not have the means to ship tons of product or people around.

Yup - I remember returning to tech industry last year after a decade in bikes and thinking "holy sh** people have budgets, forecasts and turn profits?!?"

Haven't tried Shimano, been on SRAM lately. For SRAM I looked briefly for a washer that was the right size, but didn't fine one. Rather than spend a day looking for a washer I ordered the bushing and have been happy with the results having done it a handful of times. What kind of washer did you use for Shimano?

Yep, solved if I'm understanding you correctly. Hall-lock mod so the b-pivot can't rotate. File the X01 b-bushing down slightly, a little bit at a time (test, file, test, file) until the derailleur can't rotate at the bolt. If you've got a GX there's no bushing to modify, it's a crappy steel-on-aluminum design that suffers from premature wearification. The X01...

"tell me you started riding within the last 5 years without telling me you started riding within the last 5 years." all joking aside, yes its an older compound. while a good compound, definitely not used as much anymore, as maxxis has since released better offerings.

I would agree the super trail casing feels noticeably stiffer than exo and can probably benefit from a slightly lower pressure if all else is equal. I don't love the orange soft compound as a front tire but am fine with it on the back wheel.

I am personally very concerned about the ability for the user to toggle to class 3 and the higher speed cutoff. Specialized just opened a can of worms with access issues and ebikes being lumped in with electric motorbikes. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
