7/3/2023 1:01pm Jake I’m a little confused. Saying half the butts are dudes sort of implies it’s not a big deal seeing guys in panty like attire. Is that what anti-woke dudes are cool with? What is woke? Is it just a political buzz word for tools maybe? Definitely agree I will go ride by bike

7/3/2023 12:57pm There is NOTHING inappropriate about a natural normal clothed rear end. Just because they are nice looking butts doesn't make it perverted. Haven't you guys ever been to the pool, beach, club, etc...?

7/3/2023 12:57pm Just saw the ad on a different website... All I can say is that if you're offended by it, you're baby lotion soft and/or a total prude. You're literally zero fun at parties. I read this thread before I saw the ad and I immediately started laughing my ass off at all the upset folks here. I'm sorry, but you suck.

7/3/2023 12:55pm Would it be rude to point out that a substantial portion of the women mountain bikers I've encountered also would enjoy seeing the rear ends of women? I just think the entire complaint is so overblown.

7/3/2023 2:14am I suppose I'm biased towards liking an experience more similar to what I grew up with, hence my preference for a more play-by-play style. I certainly have felt the commentary is improving, as is the overall broadcast, but it is not yet at the point where I would pay for it. I wonder if I'd feel different if they made their first year of broadcasts free while they figure everything out. So far I don't want to pay, but who knows maybe next year I'll think it is worth my money. They have a tough act to follow and that...

7/3/2023 2:12am It's simple. Discovery didn't do their homework. Hell, we don't even know what places qualifier is leaving the gate. You see the top 30 list once on screen before the race...and then they don't even address what position is leaving the gate, don't have their qualifying time listed & don't announce how many riders are left. They showed a list of the final 10 riders and then you better keep track mentally because nothing on screen and nothing they say tells you who's next. Another annoying thing is that before a racer leaves the gate, they're not announcing their titles...

7/3/2023 2:09am 😀😃 That bike has about the same chance of weighing 28lbs 5oz with those 1300gr tires as Chris Froome chances of winning the TdF this year.

7/2/2023 9:47am When I was a kid I used to listen to radio broadcasts of football (soccer) game commentary. In this format the commentators would have to describe more or less what is happening. "____ passed to ____, the ball is moving across the centre line, ____ is contesting" and so on. I'd love if MTB commentary could produce a similar listening experience. "_____ is really pushing through this rooty section, their front wheel is deflecting but they're holding on for this right hand turn, they have good exit speed into this next straight" and that kind of coherent thought sans-hype. I'm...

7/2/2023 5:20am Ric is terrible too. He keeps rambling about Mullets - to a paying crowd of MTB enthusiasts. Imagine that. Thank you very much, we all know what mixed wheelsizes are. Just stick to commenting what's happening on screen. And while were at it: The camera work from VDS was absolutely terrible. 50% of the shots were just straight up bad...

7/2/2023 5:14am I know it's not new, but God the commentary is horrible. Ric is the lesser of the two evils and has some potential, his voiceover for the last round of Enduro summary was pretty good. Someone really needs to tell Cedric to shut up unless he has something insightful to say. He constantly talks over Ric and ruins what should be intense moments. I couldn't watch semis because the commentary is so bad.

6/30/2023 3:18pm Done. Although the title has been censored, Vital don't seem to like the word 'cockpit'. Now back to tech rumours, has anyone heard anything about GT strengthening their DH frames? Asking on behalf of Roger Viera.

6/29/2023 4:17pm The shape of that bar is super unique and allows for more vibration damping in it. Without sounding too product preachy, it was that bar that made us really rethink bar design and why our new alloy has a very similar profile to take the jar and buzz out of hits.

6/29/2023 5:26am Huh. Frame seems to be identical to the Meta V5, just with a different set of links and a 170mm fork.

6/29/2023 2:25am Val di Sole... I don't think I've ever seen a race preview from any location where the riders looked less stoked to be there.
