Placebo effect is a hell of a drug! There's an abundance of academic papers proving that.

I’m glad you did a literature review to convince yourself, I wish more people did that kinda thing. For me, none of those devices pass the sniff test. Red flag words for these scams include: Quantum, magnets, crystals, energy, etc. If you think the stickers will make you faster, then you gotta check out the ENERGY POLARISER! Quite the bit of classic Australiana. https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2020/02/how-a-box-of-magic-crystals-brought-…

I can't believe this trend hasn't died out yet. Some years ago during the first big covid lockdown here in Germany, I've put a bit of research into this and looked up all the various manufacturers claims and explanation as to why these should apparently make you faster. I did not find a single one of them convincing. But back...

This. The sizing of the current production Demo is a pathetic joke. The Demo run by the Specialized Gravity team are always fully custom (even though they have looked stock).

Hi, Basti from SQlab here, Sorry for being late, we had a public holiday in Germany, yesterday. Upfront, I am in charge for int. Marketing here, so it is only me to blame, plus maybe our team rider Stevie, with whom I created the whole campaign idea, which the video is the most important part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nquh2lM75X8 Before I post our official statement, I want to point out first, that on a shooting side, we simply fucked up. We never wanted the butts to look same and female on the first look. We wanted the widest spread of different butts as...

First a thread about the ad campaign, now adressing A ) Products & B ) Customer Service? A ) Yes, some riders don't like SQlab saddles (obviously, see above). Main reasons for negative product experiences are: - that riders don't measure their sit bone distance and "guess" their size (often based on width info from previous saddles, but the SQlab Sizing means the effective sitting area, not the overall saddle width, like all the other saddle brands do), - and / or adjust the saddle wrong (especially height & tilt). Only a very, very few just don't like the saddle...

I don't like the protection rules. I get you are protected into the race. That race is the Semi Finals. Not both the semi finals and the finals. I mean if you are that hurt, screw up 2 times be it a mistake or mechanical you don't deserve to be in the finals. You had your chance you blew it come back next week.

Try it. I went from a 40 mm stem and a 30 mm rise bar to a 35 mm stem and 55 mm rise bars. A world of difference (in a good way).

Falcon Liked a reply to forum topic Another geo thread - this time, related to stack height

Here's a minor update. I took a picture just to illustrate my point. The footpeg height on the MX bike is at least comparable with the BB on my Commencal. However, note how much lower the seat is and how much higher the handlebars are. I can see why pedaling would throw some of this into turmoil (especially while seated,) but imagine coasting downhill while standing. There's a much different body position on the motorcycle, and I think it would be beneficial for DH and Enduro guys. For me, at least I think it would. Check it out:

Yeah I'm also not convinced this is a new Optic. The current one is still super up to date compared to its competitors, even though it got released in 2019. That's because it seems like every short travel 29er that has come out since basically emulated/copied the frame geometry of the Optic. There's simply no need to update it in...

Not world cup, but Norco has something new coming. T-Type, Small shock, look pretty trail to me? The Sight and Optic are fairly up to date still. Maybe a light E-bike? Revolver?

If someone wants to create a topic, I'd be up for it. I've been looking into the relation between stack and reach and bar height in general a lot lately and would love to hear you guys ideas and theories.

I only clued into this phenomenon last year but I wish I had figured this out when I started riding 10 years ago. It seems crazy at first to add so many stem spacers and to get such high rise bars but it makes a world of difference. I'm 6'2" with a 32 inseam for reference. I would say any range +/- 25mm from your seat height will work depending on conditions etc. My DH bike is slightly above seat height and my enduro bike is slightly below.
