I don’t get it. What’s the point of a night stage if you’re gonna light it up like daytime? Whole point of night riding is the poor lighting. Which sounds downright dangerous in EWS. Rally night stages are craaaaazy. F1 night races are stupid unless it’s some place that’s just too hot during the day.

A dusk/night stage?? Really.... I guess they really are grasping at straws to breath some life/interest back into enduro. There has got to be an advantage dropping in mid-pack on the final stage when it's a touch brighter out compared to the last 10 riders at sunset, no?

If they can put lights on every corner of the track why not cameras?

This makes me earnestly think that WBD is equating DH to F1 and EDR to Rally. I'm in favour of night stages, but they have to be done right, just lighting up the course is the wrong way to do it imo, the lights should be on the bike and rider.

I found it insulting to the racers and the sport. We have a bigger star from a bigger sport than mtb so let's suck up to him and not talk about the action that happening in this minor league sport. Like having Ken Roczen there some how legitimized downhill racing. It certainly doesn't hurt to recognize that legends from other sports are into dh, but a couple of quick discussions between race runs would have sufficed.

I have not been a fan of the commentating for some time but this weekend marked a new low. I don’t follow moto so Ken Roczen’s presence in the booth did absolutely nothing for me — it only detracted from the viewing experience as Josh just fanned out about moto stuff rather than talking about the actual race runs taking place. Josh’s poor and regionalized vocabulary is a bad trait for a commentator and he rarely has anything of value to add. Watch a basketball game if you want to see how much a caller can contribute. it's interesting reece brings les gets into it b/c (from the coziness of the internet, having never been to either venue) that track seems really similar to loudenvielle in that it's high speed and mostly "just dirt," no obvious rocky tech sections like vds or msa. i also thought that by race day loudenvielle was an extremely technical ride. it wasn't wheel-eating rocks, but that first steep left hander that caught people out, that left that bode burke hovered through, and all the other razor thin lines meant skill, delicate braking and bike setup was hugely important. i even find...

Chalk another one up for 11 speed XT. Been running it since late 2019, and I just have no complaints. The only drivetrain that seems attractive to would be link glide, but those cassettes are pretty damn heavy, and I often find myself only needed to replace one drivetrain part at a time so no need to spend more than I need to.

I don't get it, people usually want to see shimano content.
