4/20/2025 8:42am Is anybody on a steel frame really concerned IS isn't sufficiently robust? also, "please don't even respond at all" is an excellent, if somewhat abridged, quote.

4/16/2025 7:06am it sounds like you are both somewhat in agreement - that truly proportional rear centers are too drastic of a change from the geo status quo to make sense for most bike brands and most riders (at least for now). whether it's a marketing gimmick is subjective, since it doesn't seem controversial to say RC should probably be longer for longer reaches, but also that a proportional 470mm+ RC on an XL isn't going to be the best for all XL riders. talking out of my ass a bit here, but one thing I haven't heard mentioned re: front/rear center...

4/15/2025 3:22pm As someone who has been on this thread a while I'll say: Leave the banter I feel like this thread does a good job of balancing Tech rumors and general Tech discussion that may seem off topic, of which Crab link is our proudest moment. The banter around the tech is just as important as the tech. If you just want a hot-list of rumors about stuff coming out, then well look elsewhere.

4/13/2025 11:26pm Possibly related, in the recent MBR video about the new Levo, there is this foam model next to the one of the designer's desks: In the (possibly relevant) rendering above the models, it looks to be a bike with a single crown:

4/10/2025 9:33am I’m surprised it’s carbon. By the intense feature on the pinkbike podcast last month I was given the impression their new frames were all going to be metal.

4/8/2025 5:06pm @CascadeComponents Hey, I get access to a university machine shop from September and I'm interested in making something similar to that rear end for either my Vitus sommet or a custom bike I'm working on. Is there any way to get in touch?

4/8/2025 5:05pm Speeding cars are normally caught by speed cameras or cops with radar guns, doubt that there are going to be cops on trails checking the bikes. The fact that bikes have speed restriction and cars do not is a puzzle in this day and age.

4/8/2025 12:03pm Holy #$@^ the cascade products for the SJ15 are so fricken cool. @CascadeComponents is this compatible with both the alloy and carbon versions? Getting an alloy sj15 @ 2k + 2k for this setup at 4k is a way cooler bike then a SJ Carbon at 3,500. Either way, what a cool thing for consumers for this platform.
