I look at those quotes and see someone who seems to be dealing with depression rather than entitlement. But to each their own.

He's undeniably a far better rider than I’ll ever be, and this isn’t a critique of his skill on the bike—that speaks for itself. That said, I have to disagree with what you’re saying. He’s consistently criticized almost every bike he’s ridden since the original Mondraker. More notably, he’s the only rider I’ve heard go on a podcast and openly tear into multiple former sponsors' equipment—sometimes even gear that’s still on the market. Most riders might, years later, say something like “that wasn’t the best race bike,” but he goes as far as to call bikes sketchy or unsafe. That...

This. Love the guy, his riding and the story. I don't think he has anything to prove to anyone. Oddly frustrating to watch him point finger at things around him, say like every 4 words and have little self awareness. Obviously very unsatisfied with how things have washed out lately but it's seems to be holding him back rather than fueling his hunger.

Brook since his horrible crash and a decline in his results has always come across in interviews and what not a little salty about his sponsor situations and all the bouncing around he's had to do but doesn't want to pop off about it... I think when your job is no longer guaranteed and you are essentially just risking your life for not much gain they start to get a bit bitter with the sport and culture of it all.

If we were talking about that rad Cannondale proto that Matt Simmonds was on a few years ago, then yes, but I’m beyond certain that level of thinking is not happening here. Like someone else pointed out, it has a kickstand.

I did really like Rachel bringing that up. I think another way to look at it is we know people can clear 90 footers. We knew that even before Hardline added them, obviously. And we also know that the speed variance between people riding the 90s is pretty low. You have to clear them... But you also can't go too fast because going deep deep on the 90s is a bad, bad idea. So as a race feature it's... I mean it's basically for shock value, a la the canyon gap (RiP). Again, I don't think that canyon gap would...

Take into consideration how many runs of the track that Asa has altogether compared to every other rider there, especially Charlie Hatton. It would have been interesting to see how he would have fared today against Jackson and the Alran brothers Credit to Neko as well because the bike he has developed looks like an extension of Asas body

I think we all know the downfall of Intense is when they went to Kenda tires, any brand to takes sponsorship money to race on concrete tubes is doomed. Jokes aside, that was a very curious choice and really started the downfall of the racing program, not sure how it factors into sales, but I'm sure it doesn't help.

A union adds democratic structure to a corporation. The workers use their bargaining power as leverage to negotiate their working conditions. You vote for your union reps like you would for representatives in government/council. Plenty of countries have gone insolvent due to the decisions of an autocratic leader, just like plenty of companies have gone downhill due to the decisions of a bad CFO. Bike companies are not an exception. The fact is, having the responsibility of an entire company in the hands of unaccountable CFOs or board members is a lot worse for stability than the responsibility being shared...

Don’t know a lot about labor politics outside the U.S., but respectfully, labor unions really can take credit for getting US workers the 40 hour work week and the weekend. Labor unions did that, and it took about 60 years of organizing before FDR signed the Fair Labor Standards Act into law in 1938: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2015/sep/09/viral-image/does-8-ho…

Without unions we wouldn't have the weekend. Don't know why kids earning good wages out of school would ever be a bad thing. I'm sure if there were better union protections for workers in the MTB industry, we'd see a lot of brands still kicking.
