Bigger 6 bolt PCD is the next new standard big bike will force upon us to deal with the higher brake torque requirements of XL wagon wheels. You heard it here first!

Sort of off topic, but something I’ve been pondering: Has anyone developed a good service writing platform similar to what a lot of car mechanics in the US are using now that basically texts you a link to all the different issues they’ve found, item by item, with recommended next steps and costs. Then you just approve each line item that you want to have done? A lot of the garages will even include videos/pictures that show the issue in action to demonstrate the “need.” One garage I use also flags items as red, yellow, green, letting you know level...

Reya looks really nice, but man 7200€ for the lowest spec 🙃 I'll stick to my plans of getting a V1 Spur!

or the fact reliability was their biggest issue. - Yamaha(giant) motors were very similar in power and delivery but they didnt see reliability issues and those other brands using them havnt dropped them. I've had 4 replacement shimano motors, never again. Imagin having a shimano motor with xt di2 wireless, Holy Filing cabinet down stairs.

Some serious stoner thoughts here lol. They are sideways because they have to be. With the eyelet in the orientation you are talking about, it would effectively have a hinge in the middle of the shock, and it would "buckle" or rotate between the yoke and shock under compression. Just set your bike on the ground and install the clevis end first. With the suspension compressed you should have easier access to the shock bolt. At least that's the case on my Ibis bikes.

As you know by the profile pic I can't let the past go (unless its to do with an ex girlfriend) Azonic were producing a 0 degree stem back in 1998 a friend of mine had one on a cannondale super v XC bike that was set up for Downhill you don't know what a short toptube is and scary geometry is until you have rode a bike like that! Then Mondraker had a go at it back in 2012 I love how forgetful people are when it comes to industry

Of all the options out there, I think signing with Trek would maybe be the least surprising. And the possibility is huge for some massive, crazy projects with backing from both Red Bull and Trek. Also, imagine what kind of insane, viking/black metal themed paint jobs he'll get on his bikes from the Trek custom paint shop. I don't love Trek, but am here for Brage getting paid and opportunities that only come from big sponsors.

Brage posted a teaser of his new bike sponsor. Can anyone make out what this is? Silver, tapered headtube, black linkage? If it wasn’t a tapered headtube, I’d almost have my hopes up for RAAW

Dharco doesn’t make helmets, it’s only natural that they’d have a helmet and protection sponsor.

Gwin is a full part of the team. They approached shared sponsors and combined all budgets to make the finances work. Sounds like Gwin gets paid what he is used to, and Frameworks probably makes out with more budget and even more attention from sponsors and fans now that Gwinner is with them.

Does anyone want electronic gears on their dh bike? I feel like this is just sram repackaging existing components for the sake of streamlining production. Basically cost savings being fed to us as innovation without any real world benefits to the rider.

You can do most of the stuff you can do with a normal bike but it will simply be way more sluggish. Like a bunny hop alone is a different league on a bike without a motor that is 5-15 kg lighter. The flickabilty, jump/airtime options and easy tech maneuvering are just not on the same level with a full power ebike, especially when you don't have extremely good skills and fitness.
