I wish I could believe these numbers - maybe its true, but my Bugs-and-Fudd-ometer tells me its BS. Literally no one I know subscribed to Max (or whatever) to watch this, and I'm only watching b/c my wife happens to already be subscribed... that's anecdotal & meaningless, sure, but I don't see how WB can be attracting massive #'s when this is hardly promoted. Even in the Sports tab of Max you wouldn't even know DH existed unless you search for it. Still - the riding has been world class, bc the riders are world class regardless of what Bugs...

I agree, this reporting seems off. Anecdotally, most people I know now ONLY watch the highlights because its free. Which is a shame because the racing has been bonkers these last few years.

If you know of any streams or rivers along the way a pocket sized water filter can save you from humping all your water the whole way. If anyone is thinking at all of going, you should. You will have an amazing time and transportation is so easy in Korea. You'll show up at the airport, get to Seoul, and then take a high speed train to the venue with ease. And the locals will be STOKED. The food is out of this world. Going to Korea is the best kind of culture shock too.

Yeah, in a few interviews and podcasts they’ve hinted at a 12-round season, which would be awesome. Personally, I’d love to see it expand to around 14 rounds per year…that would really help build momentum throughout the season. But for that to happen, teams definitely need bigger budgets and more backing, ideally from sponsors outside the bike industry. It’s a big step, but necessary if the sport wants to grow on a global scale.
