Our fork crowns and axle lugs are sandblasted prior to Cerakote. We also polish tens of thousands of aluminum parts per month here at our facility that are then sent to an outside vendor for anodizing. I was just providing my experience as a manufacturer. I wouldn't be able to comment on what a supplier might charge. As a component manufacturer, polishing and anodize comes at a lower cost. Darren

I've been riding them for a few seasons. Pretty great. I treat them like garbage and have not had any problems.

havent really found any decent prices for full power bikes, best options are things like the turbo levo - none with a bosch motor. Also not sure i wanna go for a heavy full power e-bike. I mostly just want a bike thatll take me up fire roads so i can get more descent laps in a day, having it ride similarly to a normal bike seems more appealing than a ton of power.

Re: recent geopolitical happenings With the Straight of Hormuz and Red Sea both being closed to tanker traffic, we will be seeing some very large increases in oil prices, at least in the short term. In my 30+ years tracking bicycle retail trends, we usually see an uptick in bicycle sales when the price of gasoline becomes painful for commuters who have options besides driving to work. The oil prices increases in 2004 (it went above $50 a barrel for a while in the fall, IIRC) was one of the things that allowed a lot of shops to survive that...

Wait a sec… tariffs are taxes paid by US importers and will eventually be passed on to the end consumer in the form of higher prices? Get outta here with that nonsense!

Run mavens first. Get a feel for them. Then try shmaven for a good comparison. If you don’t like it, try Shigura.

Picked up some lightly used MT5s and XT 8100 levers with the plan of going with Shigura on a new project, but this past week I stumbled onto some Maven Bronzes at a steep discount. I run Shiguras on my main bike and really love the feel and performance (I'm a clyde at 100kg/220lbs). I've entered decision paralysis. Stick with...

Please point out the actual insult and/or demonization? Buddy had a flippant, incredulous tone, and suggested I don't know what I'm talking about so buddy got a wee bit of sarcasm and hyperbole in response. It's clear from this thread (and about a million others) across the internet, that people are struggling to get a good bleed on Mavens. This struggle is even noted on some of the professional reviews as well. Objectively, the Maven bleed process is finicky, annoying, and messy relative to most other brakes in the market. P.s. you're high if you think a bleed cup makes...

your currency is not much worth anymore, it lost like 25% in just 4 years against the swiss franc, what do you people expect things to cost when you import everything and the fascist king wants his cut on top?

It would be a neat trick if they simply combined 157mm hub shells with 148mm axles. I don't know if this is what has happened - just speculating.

I refused to try the new radials on my druid. Hell, the 2.4 eliminator and whatever rocks, dirt, and sticks already did a number on the inside of my stays. Peeled off the ridewrap on both, which also made an annoying ticking until I could force it off with a stick mid-ride.

It's a shame that this crowd is echoing everything I've read across EMTB forums/Reddit/Insta about the Fazua, because it really does seem like the goldilocks zone of ebike motors. The Relay is the perfect ebike concept too. I think of it as "this is my shuttle bike" sometimes the shuttle is a chairlift/ truck (battery out, weight of motor at bottom making the bike eat) and sometimes the shuttle is my own legs with assist. Want to do a really long self-shuttle day? Extra battery in the truck at the shuttle pickup zone. Really hope companies don't abandon that concept...

I inferred that they tested the XTR's as a set with the XTR rotor, the SLX's as a set with the SLX rotor, Hayes' as a set with the Hayes rotor, Formula with Formula, etc... They then also tested with Sinter pads as control. They missed a few combinations and the hypothesis/method/apparatus/etc isn't described with technical rigor, so perhaps it wouldn't pass as a scientific paper, but it's not a scientific paper. I feel that I can make meaning of the results.
