7/12/2026 9:42pm my entirely non-scientific ride on a friends bike with GRID gravity (non-radial) tires, they felt similar when climbing. Just heavy and slow. You only notice a difference on the descent where the radial tires seem to feel more damped and have grip in more situations. So overall a good impression. 7/12/2026 9:05pm how about a series hybrid, like the Also TM-B. There's no mechanical connection between rider input and what the drive unit does. All gear ratios are "simulated" by the motor. I wonder if this would be efficient enough to NOT use a battery, just transfer all rider power to the motor instantaneously. You can solve the problems of chain/derailleur/unsprung weight...

5/11/2026 10:47am Gas Gas had the right idea with the moto-inspired replaceable plastics kits for their ECC ebikes. How many carbon frames become landfill waste from rock strikes or crashes where a sacrificial "fairing" could have taken the blow? If the industry wants to improve durability, this is the right place.

Cartert Bilawchuck is a 16-year old who made his own bike, it ended up looking incredibly polished - and rad ( it was a lock for Vital BOD of course too)! Having ridden bikes from several major brands, my SC Megatower has easily been the best I’ve owned when it comes to product support, parts availability, and clear, reliable customer service. I used to make fun of people who had an SC, but after dealing with repeated warranty issues on other bikes, I get it now. I'd theorize it gives more room inside, since the mechanism for the door would fight for space with the frame bag if you packed it tight on my MT V2. I'm pretty bummed if the Megatower is going away. A friend said they think it isn't, new one is launching soon...

4/10/2026 12:19pm yep, I rewatched it and realized you can see a Bosch wheel magnet twice. So I guess the question now is, did they use the CX or SX motor? My guess is CX since most people want full power.
