Maybe nothing. Chris Akrigg posted a photo of his very pregnant wife wearing a Cannondale "This Is a Test" T-shirt.
Akrigg moving on from Mongoose would be big news. He's been there forever.

I think it's more likely that Richie Rude joins Intense (Factory Racing not Collective) instead of Pure Agency (Specialized). He's bros with AG and also trains under Tom Schumlick. This will also give him a chance to race World Cup DH as well.
Orbea had high expectations for 2019 but few decent results. Are they revamping the team again? Primoz Strancar, Team Manager, has been there for less than a year, I think, and they have 2 riders under 23 years old.
Youn Deniaud seems headed elsewhere (he's in GFORT now).
I think nothing much is happening with Primož at Orbea, he's been partnered with them for quite a few years and has proven himself in different roles. Cutting someone off after a year doesn't make much sense. Plus Vid Peršak had some nice results even though he wasn't on the full program, while Thomas Lapeyrie was injured mid season (i saw him at Megavalanche, but he didn't race, his leg wasn't healed enough yet).
Without a major shakeup it's hard for me to imagine for them to take Damien onboard (i think Thomas would have to change teams), considering Vid wasn't on the full program. The budget would have to get much bigger in order to facilitate Damien besides all the other guys on the team.
But we'll see. I'm speculating here, i don't have any info regarding this matter.

Posted in the last patreon video of the year that his intention was to get race fit so that he could try and qualify for races next year, potentially to add a run element to his insight videos
I think he has some kind of bike deal with SC, assume that would continue for his plans for next year

It is the same company is it not? I thought GT Cdale and Mongoose were all the same owner.

They are all under Dorel sports. Maybe they're trying to shift away from spending money on mongoose since its a low-mid level brand going forward. I feel like they know they ruined the brand name by using it for department store branded bikes as far as the mid to high end market are concerned and they're refocusing on C-dale and GT as there big boys. Akrigg on a Habit would be a winning combo.
They have some pretty legit entry level trail, dh and jump bikes at prices accessible to newer riders but after that i doubt many people are looking at a Mongoose for their second mountain bike.

That’s what I thought too so it could have just been a shirt that he or she was given. It seemed like a pretty solid hint in the post though, and like metadave said below, they might be wanting to shift more focus to Cannondale.
Turbulent times over at 'Dale maybe? Seems like they're going through an identity crisis. They need some more of that CG/ACC magic from the early 2000's.
I think dorel is better to focus hard gravity, BMX and Enduro with GT team wise, and focus on Enduro, trail and XC teams with c-dale. Enduro being the money's maker right now, it makes sense to support two teams in that. And based on the new C-dale Enduro proto, it looks like the DH bike might have just been a concept test bed.
Someone else beat me to it before. And at the time, for some reason, I wasn't offered as chance to post it. But where did this go? And Why? He doesn't have a silly contract over his head until the end of the year.

Matteo iniguez to Commencal?
But it was just a modded current generation frame wasnt it? nothing special, just made to fit big wheels.
Pretty sure it was not. The 2019 Glory was carbon, if you look at the 29er version they had it was alloy but also the head tube area was pretty different from the carbon. If all they wanted to do was run 29 wheels it would have been a angle set and and put the rear wheel in the longest setting (if you can on a glory) or a simple alloy rear end say off the Reign. Much cheaper, but then again they are the biggest bike company out there.

Pretty sure they're just 27.5 frames with 29 wheels in them, i remember a post that said Marcelo had just moved to an XL frame that doesnt have a carbon option only alu.

Very likely. They've been riding a lot together in the past weeks and the #çacommencemal is clearly an oriented pun.
