Thanks for sharing the proto images. I had a quick scan of the patent, but not a thorough read. I wonder if the novel aspect they are claiming is the separate/distinct pivot points which we might consider to be unique and different from an adjustment of the location within a small range. That Rocky Proto is somewhat similarish to the Trek and also the Nukeproof Giga which has an eccentric main pivot that can be adjusted to move the pivot location. The rocky has 4 (or maybe 5) positions , the Trek 3 or more within a range and the...

If the Pivot is the only bike that breaks this week from that drop (which it likely will be at this point), then it's not a good look for Pivot. While hardline is an extreme use case, if all the other brand's bikes hold up, it shows that the Pivot is not as strong. For instance, there are guys like Bulldog, who probably outweighs BK by 30%+, coming off the same drop on his 'cheap' ARI frame and it's holding up. The Pivot frame is VERY light. I believe the lightest weight production frame (by far). I'm assuming Pivot engineers...

This is a bit like asking what is the correct stance in snowboarding, goofy or regular? There is no "correct", it's whatever works best for you.

Their newest bike is an aluminum slopestyle hardtail. I also got (unofficial) confirmation it's a new Chromag frame from someone at my LBS today, but no details.

its all ready, along with a new 34 and 36 chassis and air spring. Maybe they will even show the new inverted prototype DH fork at sea otter too.

I also recognize that top link but can't place it. But I've absolutely seen it before. It looks a little like a Vitus Sommet 297 link, but it looks a lot like an Airdrop Edit MX link:. Did I scroll through this entire list of 186 bike companies to find these two examples? Maybe. Did it feel better to scratch that itch, and help me avoid doing homework? Absolutely.

I think he’s been off Orbea for a while and that would be a weird way to launch their new bike when they have FMD to do it. That bike looks way too generic to be an Orbea, I’d expect something a bit more Wild.

We all know the theory: lower tire pressures mean more grip, and higher pressures roll faster. But when it comes to real-world speed, which one really wins? I set out to answer this with 30 timed runs down the same track. ◾ The Experiment Two sets of tire pressures were chosen for my 88kg (194lbs) weight: 25/28 psi (front/rear) for the higher pressures and 18/20 psi (front/rear) for the lower pressures. These pressures maintain a consistent 0.9 front-to-rear ratio, with the high pressures aligning with recommendations such as those from E13 . After three warm-up laps, each tire pressure setup...

New rumor I think? Milatul Khaqimah of Indonesia, with 420 pts (top ranked rider without a team in any category, except for Veronika Widmann) was put on Intense Factory in the spreadsheet by somebody. I looked into it, and she has very few followers on Instagram, and barely any from europe/north america. But... Joe Breeden, Lou Ferg, Mille Johnset, and Oscar Griffiths all follow her.
