8/15/2024 2:14pm That would be interesting. Haven't ridden it or the Onyx silent hub, and would love to try either one of them out. From what I understand, most enduro bikes have 6 degrees or less of pedal kickback, so most bikes would be fine with the lower settings on the Ochain and I imagine a 5 degree hub would work for most bikes most of the time (except for really deep impacts).

8/15/2024 1:02pm 100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is! Oh well, we call it the superfoxy now and it is 170/160mm. -Oh ok, sorry I didn't keep up with the name changes, but can I still get a Dune? -Of course sir, right this way, 170/165mm hard hitter, beautiful...

8/15/2024 12:59pm I have been running a single STFU style chain slap device and feel it makes a difference. There are files of a cloned version on Printable to 3d print your own, I have printed a couple of them with TPU. Also missing on your list is the Tairin Wheels clutch hubs, these fully disengage the pawls for a free floating effect and have 5.5 degree of engagement.

8/15/2024 12:58pm While you’re waiting for the ethirteen hub…tairin wheels out of Vancouver has their silent shogun hub that always has 5 degrees of float…would love to see a review of that hub.

8/14/2024 9:17pm Longer travel Sight is 170F 160R. I presume it's replacing the Range as there has been no MY 2024 Range. I missed out on a 2024 Sight and I have a 2025 on order, There were two options (Sight 150 and Sight 160), so I asked my shop to order me the 160. I don't even have full spec yet but the C1 is much the same as the 2024 spec (GX Transmission, Fox Factory etc), but the 160 had a 170mm 38 instead of a 36, and a DHX2 wheras the 150 had a 160mm 36 like current and...

8/14/2024 9:15pm Maybe someone could make a thread specifically for tech rumors so we don't derail this suspension kinematic thread?

8/2/2024 11:49am Currently looking at buying a new enduro rig this winter…and I can see brand loyalty coming into play for sure. I’ve owned a couple Norco and banshee bikes. Love my phantom and enjoyed the last gen sight. I really really like everything about the Kavenz vhp platform, and currently plan on that as my next purchase…however sticking with banshee and...

8/2/2024 11:41am Im pretty loyal to whatever I can get a deal on these days.... If a company treats ya right when you have an issue im 100% more likely going to buy from them again. Seems like most stuff is pretty good but there are preferences for sure. Shimano makes really good stuff, four or five years ago Fox seemed to be really getting after it but after the x2 and some pretty lack luster development I'm trying to swap everything to ohlins. DT and I9 have never done me wrong and make some pretty hardy product. Sram brakes are a...

8/2/2024 11:39am I usually get sold on a brand due to their customer care. Cannondale screwed me over and made a handful of empty promises to me as a 12 year old, I’m now 36, and have made sure to go out of my way to never buy a single Cannondale related product, and steer everyone I had the chance to, away from a Cannondale product. On the flip side, I needed a bike in a hurry earlier this year and bought a used Banshee. I emailed their generic email address asking about shock tunes as the stock shock was blown. Within...

7/25/2024 10:15am The whole wireless only thing is really representative of what bothers me about the bike industry. Changing things for the sole reason to sell us something more expensive. Why would they not put a small hole in the head tube and in the chain stay, can fit little plugs in it if they arent needed. Its different than say 1x drivetrains or dropper posts where there is a clear and undeniable benefit. What is better about a wireless drivetrain vs a properly tuned cable one? We get rid of a $3 cable and cable housing and add a battery?

7/19/2024 7:37am Just had my first ride on the MRP Lift in a Zeb and I agree with ebruner, I massively prefer it to the Charger 2.1 or 3, and Grip2 VVC. I was expecting to notice a difference, but was not expecting the difference to be so stark. Felt much more controlled than the stock damp(en)ers I've tried with none of the harshness that always seems to come with cranking the compression up. Assuming it holds up over the long term seems like a winner

7/18/2024 10:43am Oh man, not going to lie I got a good chuckle out of the brake rub comment because its so true. I've run MT8 and MT7 and loved them both, except for the fact that they both like to have some form of brake rub at all times. Also I find them to be way better with their race compound brake pads. Magura rotors, however, are total trash. As far as my unsolicited 2 cents on Trickstuff vs Knockoffs, I have the same feeling about them as I do about cheep Chinese carbon wheels. Yes, they might be as good...

7/8/2024 11:48pm Without defining the nature of an impact, force measurements would be required to know which transmits the most force to the rider. Now if you say the impact in question is a series of roots that are 50 mm tall, then it is accurate to say that the closer the deflection is to 50 mm then the lower the amount of force transmitted to the rider. Assuming it’s in phase with the roots of course. The graph in question here seems to show an extremely small root or something similar. An example of where you need to know force is...

7/8/2024 11:46pm Can I just interject... It scarcely matters how good the Stumpjumper's new suspension is when they want AU$8900 for a Rhythm fork, a Performance shock and whatever we're calling that OEM Transmission (NX?) Righto please continue dunking on the marketing.
