They tired to slow a very fast track down this year by making lines tighter and adding in some extra turns/chicanes. I believe this is what lead to far more DQ's, nothing to do with tape/poles. The guys know where their going, they are just trying to do it as fast as possible. With how fast the track was and some of those intentional new turns, it made it very easy to get off line with little room for correction.

Maverick did it on their DUC fork 20 years ago.

Of course the Avalanche kit will be significantly better. The issue is the 10 hours of phone call you have to have with craig to get anything.

Although the PFR team looks more relaxed than other factory teams, it does not make them a bad team. Sure, it is not a big factory team with a big budget, but they have their system that works for them and had some pretty good seasons in the past - 2023 and 2024 were pretty good. I think the addition of Dylan and a fired up Roger Viera is going to elevate this team and make them more competitive. Dylan is going to do great at PFR!

I like Dak but I think some vital users have a slightly biased view on him. Sick guy, love listening to him, still very fast. But I think it’s very healthy and appropriate for sports teams to sign new younger talent.

@jeff.brines the Sam Nichols podcast was absolutely awesome. Really great insight to not only the situation YT was in, but also how bike oems handle their business, as well as an anecdotal case study of how PE/VC actually happens. It's nice being able to digest that paradigm with a case study that is relevant to my interests... makes what is otherwise a pretty dry subject if you're not in the thick of it and makes it palatable.
