4/6/2025 6:47am So, they are replacing texting Martin Whitely questions about history with generative ai? Last time i checked, the majority of mtb history is of yet unwritten. Now WBD can more effectively steal from our forum posts though!

4/4/2025 5:48am I know better than to engage with this, but no, that won't fix the problem. I've put a lot of time into actually trying to understand what this might do and what it really means. There are loopholes in the current tax system that should be closed, no question. Those loopholes unfortunately do not add up to anything close to the deficit. Everyone out there going "wealth tax" or "tax unrealized gains" has no idea what they are saying. Its equally as dumb as the tariff thing, because it will have second and third order impacts we all aren't willing...

4/3/2025 5:34am From THE CHART haha, I think bike companies are the least of your concern at this point. Every computer product just got 32% more expensive. You guys are all fucked. Good luck!

4/1/2025 5:46am You pretty much have to give away used bikes right now... Its to the point that im just going to get a new frame and swap parts and just accept the loss.

4/1/2025 5:45am I saw this and thought it would fit into this thread nicely. On sale for almost two years. Hmmm. How much is a NOS bike? I know there's sales tax on the new bike, but still...

3/30/2025 5:55pm It cant be understated how slippery conditions like that can be. Would rather it be a complete washout with a downpour then a little rain over dry and dusty.

3/27/2025 5:15am Not sure it has been talked about before but listening to Needles podcast with Sam Blenkinsop and he said Fox was working on a gearbox. Could be an interesting addition to the market.

3/19/2025 7:25pm I'm torn... Should all Rampage applicants be required to attend Swamp Fest to learn to huck their meat? Or should they be denied entry If they've attended and learned bad habits?

3/14/2025 10:56am We’ve reached a point where bike geometry is pretty dialed for most rider sizes. Reach and chainstay lengths adjust, and brands like Cannondale even implement size-specific kinematics. The next frontier in frame chassis design seems to be ensuring that both large and small riders experience the right frame compliance for their weight and, beyond that, that every rider has a bike that behaves to their preference. Some riders want to plow, others need the chatter to be calmed down, and some just want to pop and play and have an exhilarating ride on their local blue trail, like a track...

3/14/2025 11:01am It think its a pretty neat idea and I'm sure leverages their QBP relationship with the new Frame First program. It's funny how one side they talk about supporting local shops with the frame first, custom build at your local shop from QBP program but then also totally get around MAP policies by making it a "club" or "team" or...

3/13/2025 6:40pm I would guess a load cell / strain gauge setup to measure braking force separate from fluid pressure. More reactive as brake force changes with brake pressure and wheel location. Could be just to monitor rider input could also be to measure how different kinematics effect brake force and suspension travel.

3/10/2025 5:34am Yep. Doing it exactly like Bentonville would be pretty tough, but there are certainly lots of municipalities looking to the model as inspiration. The Trail EAffect podcast is a pretty awesome listen to get some glimpses into volunteers, professionals, builders, and advocates doing the work around trails.
