Have not noticed any significant drag on my OneUp hubs but keeping that in the back pocket as an excuse the next time I'm last up the climb on a group ride.

I am not seeing how the last 4 pages of this thread have anything to do with rumors or innovation.

That's good. I have said it before, but the phantom was a bike so good i bought it twice (with v1 spur in between). And now the frames still available were cheaper than EPing them. They better fix seatpost insertion. Otherwise, any other tweaks would just be icing on the cake.

About time! The old frames were on sale for quiet a while. Let’s see what changes they bring to the table

One of my buddies who rides for Banshee says there are a bunch of new frames coming out this year. Didn't have any details around what's being updated/changed or what's new, but they're coming.

Whichever bike has the best damper tune specced probably wins at that point. I'm pretty sure that's a big deciding factor between bikes with different linkage designs also though. You would need control wheels, and tires at a minimum, and probably drivetrain also to get any useful data about which frame works better.

The minimal changes to the firebird and nomad compared to the generation before shows how we almost converged in enduro bike geometry. Nothing new is needed in that saturated market.

I wrote this on Pinkbike but will crosspost here to as I firmly believe ABS should not be involved in WCDH. I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH. Braking ability and threshold braking are massively important skill that do separate riders. Having a system that would theoretically allow a rider to just full pull brake but not lock the wheels would be a huge advantage on most tracks and certainly would for low grip tracks or conditions. Formula One as...

Although, I am on 3 bolt, that is still lame about losing Shimano/Race Face models. An obvious for why but still a bummer to lots. Mega stoked to hear increased sealing and longevity between rebuilds. That was a gripe that I was happy to deal with and now is getting better. Honestly, I am just pumped it's so easy to get a rebuild kit now. Minus the fact any older or other model is SOL sourcing a rebuild kit... hope those can still be found! Interested by what the Shimano guys like JG will do and also about how he...

Gott damn, Dave Weagle sure does love his short chainstays! Also the increase of ~3.5mm per size is near pointless. And yes I know CS length will grow at sag.

Most of you probably won't like hearing this. I certainly didn't. Earlier this week I had a chat with a guy who works in a product management role for Ralf Bohle GmbH, which is the owner of the Schwalbe tire brand. Mainly I asked a bunch of XC racing related questions, about compounds, casings, radial ply, rolling resistance testing, wheter we'll ever see the speediest XC casing with a black sidewall and why they felt they needed to change their naming scheme for casings and compounds. The gist of it is that they are hard at work behind the scenes...
