This Just In! Stark Motorcycles is going to be joining the MTB world with its EBike Called the Stark “NotaMoto”. This ebike has 80 horse power and a gear box. Somehow emtbs are going in a direction a lot of us figured they’d go from the start. It is more and more about the motor and the battery and less and less about the „bike“ part. They might be fun, they might be fast. But to me it seems more and more like two different sports. With those new torque numbers, it seems rather dubious (ridiculous) to talk of assistance. Maybe the rider assisting the motor, but not the other way around. Not even world class sprinters come close to outputting what a full power Avinox or Bosch is doing...

Neko Mulally won the DH on his freak bike with 32" front wheel w/ XC racing slick. - https://results.raceroster.com/v3/events/ajsmbwfa6za9y9np - chatting with him at dinner the other night (before the race), all he cared about was rolling speed. cornering knobs were "good enough" and if he could manage the off-camber after the uphill on the course, the rest was basically going straight and fast. seems like his strategy paid off.

That's mind boggling. I was excited to read about it this morning and when I arrived at Sea Otter today I was genuinely confused when I tried the brake and it went all the way to the grip. I then tried every bike they had on display sharing booth with Ohlins, and every bike had the same issue. I mean, what?!

Well it's confirmed (by email), RMU (Rocky Mountain Underground, the ski company) is making a bike (with DW) That likely explains the aluminium not-a-pivot we saw some time ago (photos in this thread). Well done folks, it was figured out here first

Unfortunately I'm an idiot, so I'll answer your question even if it is sarcastic. I found a known value that's easy to measure, the rear brake rotor. I set it to 203mm (as mentioned in a bike check from my memory) 16.2cm = 6.377 inch, rounded up however the app used rounds things and also not a perfect angle. Closest match for phone size would be a Iphone 16/17 pro max at 16.3 cm or a google pixel 9/10 at 6.3 inches. I'm going to go with the iphone 16/17 pro max. I should touch grass.
