Without defining the nature of an impact, force measurements would be required to know which transmits the most force to the rider. Now if you say the impact in question is a series of roots that are 50 mm tall, then it is accurate to say that the closer the deflection is to 50 mm then the lower the amount of force transmitted to the rider. Assuming it’s in phase with the roots of course. The graph in question here seems to show an extremely small root or something similar. An example of where you need to know force is...

Can I just interject... It scarcely matters how good the Stumpjumper's new suspension is when they want AU$8900 for a Rhythm fork, a Performance shock and whatever we're calling that OEM Transmission (NX?) Righto please continue dunking on the marketing.

The Danny Hart frame mods are so sick. More flex in the rear triangle, but less at the brake mount. Smart man. Also, cool to see the data-intensive approach from the MS team regarding the new E.Thirteen hub. Have really been impressed by O.Chain and super curious to hear/see more about the Sidekick hub. It's a good time to be a tech nerd.

So interested in the sidekick! Waiting to build a new DH rear wheel until the effectiveness and availability to buy one is known.

Is Sram's "shifting under load" not just because it does it all slower... essentially replicating what we all used to do on a cable shifted system anyway. My old Sram AXS shifted underload far better than my current T-type, because it was paired with an HG+ chain and cassette. HG+ allows a much less careful shift under load and still does it with minimal protesting.

Sram acting like they re-invented the wheel with their “transmission”-“shifting under load!” When Shimano has been doing it for years. Next bike I build up will be Shimano! Too hard to ignore the bang for your buck.
