3/19/2026 10:22am I know this is dangerously close to a chainstay derail, but I love that Forbidden made a 120mm bike with a 464mm chainstay in the XL size. That's real long, but if you don't like it you can buy literally any other XL lightweight 120mm bike. Curious how it rides. Could be sick. [Editor's note: I THINK THIS COUNTS AS AN INNOVATION]

3/11/2026 4:13pm From what I have heard, Slayer is turning into an 200mm park bike with a silhouette like the current altitude. Wish they would have revived the Flatline namesake for it.

3/10/2026 4:23pm Thomas Genon joined Rocky Mountain as per captioned pics that were just uploaded on PB. Doesn't look like the article has been released yet, so I'm thinking someone forgot to set the pics to private?

3/10/2026 11:46am Regarding that video. Clearly Manitou is working on a coil for their team and maybe the public. However, I think the shock that is on Reece/s bike in that photo that was posted earlier, could very well be a Vorsprung Telum. Manitou is probably behind on getting their shock delivered, and in the meantime, Reece wanted to get onto a coild ASAP. The Telum is extremely adjustable in terms of valving, so he's probably tinkering with that. That way, he can have Manitou apply what he likes from them Telum to the shimstacks/damping setup in the forthcoming Manitou. They've covering...

3/10/2026 11:44am I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.

3/10/2026 11:44am Been discussed here before, I think, but the coil shock on the Gamux bike is visible here. Manitou got anything to chim in on this?

3/10/2026 11:42am Bike park rental fleet purchasing managers are licking their lips right now. All jokes aside, it's good to see Norco filling out their Range (pun intended). They've got everything from XC halo builds to entry hardtails to this new park bike, while still seeming a bit "core" with Brage and the DH team. It's refreshing compared to the appeal to Bentonville and Marin County dentists that Specialized is leaning into.

3/10/2026 11:41am I have heard from a LBS that Norco should have a new affordable simple Horst link DH option like around 6k CAD for a complete DH bike with Rockshox Select suspension for this spring-summer.

3/3/2026 5:44pm So this is kind of hilarious to me because forbidden just ships a pile of parts along with a frame that isn't even put together. Having built/QC checked a lot of bikes from Transition, Ibis, Cannondale, Orbea, and Forbidden I can honestly say that the QC on the Forbidden frames are absolutely stellar, on par with Ibis carbon (Ibis alloy leaves a lot to be desired). Unfortunately, with bike brands that ship just frame and parts end up leaving a lot of their bikes "QC" impression on the skills of the builder building the bike. If your headset creeks, or...

3/3/2026 3:55pm Heard on a podcast Jesse Melamed talk about helping out a local company, I'm pretty sure he rides on RMU skis. He talked about how it ended up on the vital forum so more fuel to the fire. Now here's hoping Dave W let's them have some longer chainstays.
