We tested Crankbrothers new Synthesis Enduro Alloy 2.0 wheels that launched today and were super impressed by how stout and durable they were. Our tester Mikey has broken every wheel I've ever seen him ride, and these wheels have made it just about 4 months completely unscathed. Which honestly speaks more to their durability than Commencal/Muc-Off racing with them 😂 They're sold as individual wheels, but complete sets retail for $700 (CB hubs) and $900 (i9 hubs), and the rims carry a lifetime warranty—a first for Crankbrothers on alloy rims. I'm getting the new VTX in for testing shortly on my Megatower. Currently on the Vorsprung Telum. Excited to compare both against my stock SDLX Ultimate with HBO, which is a great shock in its own right.

Looks like the more prominent shape/indent is a second cap bolt but just to the right of it is the logo:

Did the old brightness trick on the EXT pic from their instagram. Cant tell much from the pic, but there are some differences compared to the V4. Cant spot it from this angle, but if its a cheaper version as someone earlier commented, we can suspect that it doesnt come with an HBO, or at least not an adjustable one as the V4. Adjustors/lockout look similar otherwise. Possibly a normal/heavy spring instead of their lighter springs. And it looks to be a "regular" chrome(?) shaft, instead of the V4's DLC coated shaft. Might be some other differences, but it will...

Was this mentioned here? SR Suntour are working with Rogue Racing to develop an electronically actuated shock. Pictures are from the pink website. Apparently the actuator is controlled by a software that reads the terrains and it acts on the normal compression circuit. The shock can be locked out too.

Somebody asked about fork dampers on Vorsprung's IG last week, and they said "sure", or words to that effect. I emailed Vorsprung asking if they could make a 38 damper, and they replied that Steve has designs started, there is no guaranteed timeline, but that they can likely make one that's cost competitive vs the GRIP X2 and Charger 3.1 dampers. When I regained consciousness, I posted about it here.

From a buyers perspective, 20mm axle sucks, as DH bikes seem to be fading, and the popularity of DH hubs with it. I’m assuming it has some serious upsides for stiffness etc. But most will need a new hub, which is like $100-200 + spokes and labor. Worse if you have multiple bikes because they may no longer be swap able between bikes.
