Gwin kept looking at his shoulder at the line and was visibly ticked so I assumed he hit a tree. Sure enough, video on IG...he punched TWO trees and came to stop at that muddy tree after the first chaos rock where Angel went down. Minus that, he was in for a big podium (just like everyone else). Continental Tires put THREE riders on the Men's podium! How was Dak the only one to spot that sniper line. That was the absolute highlight of the race! Ronan on a Nukeproof. First World Cup podium for them in ages. Sven Martin...

Beautiful. You're not missing anything with the steel rims- they're tough but if there's even a fine mist in the air, the moisture renders the steel rim braking surface into useless garbage. Had a friend with an old bar bike with steel rims and it was terrifying to ride in the wet.

The boxxer blackbox, assume on 29", have a really short axle lug. Be interesting to see the offset when they are released. The current 56mm seems ridiculous these days.

I just completed the first ride on it. That was 20+ miles with about 1200’ of climbing and much more descending. I decided to use Automatic instead of Manual. Even with Automatic there is still some setup required but that’s easy to work through. On the trail, I could hear the system switching modes frequently and making adjustments. The noise didn’t bother me but the mode light was a bit distracting as I found myself looking at it with each mode change. There is the option to run it as Blackout and I’ll likely try that next so there’s minimal...

Super. Great emphasis on mixing and matching products in the name of performance. It also is such a great example of selecting flex in products based on the pace of the rider or riding style (and ability), which is very common in other sports.

Exactly - a longer stem with short rise bars and a stack of headset spacers could put your bars in the same position as a shorter stem, higher rise bars, and no headset spacers.
