Gary Fisher Clunker Replica 5
Parts
General Info
This is my Gary Fisher clunker replica.
Build with all period correct parts (except tires) from the period the first geared MTB's were evolving from the singlespeed clunkers (~1976-1978)
Almost all parts are from 1975-1976, the wheels are form 1978 when the first alloy 26" rims came available for the BMX cruisers.
I prefer these above the original Schwinn S2 steel rims as they are ridiculously expensive and the size is just under 26" so requires special tires that are not available (searched 6 years on ebay and forums and found 1...)
Besides that Alan Bond told me they were rubbish and the first good upgrade were alloy rims.
Took me 6 years to find all parts and build it.
