Well, we lost 2 athletes to this program-but we could not be happier for their new directions. Ryan has been a TLD grom since he started racing and we always hope these riders graduate into a factory program that is still with the brand, but, ultimately hope they find a solid and stable and supportive home-GT is a great program and we always know they are in good hands with Steve Spencer and the team-congrats Ryan. And as we said before, so happy for Katy to get back on a factory effort, not worry about all the headaches of self...

Lateral stiffness doesn't look like a point of concern, because there won't be any.

It is a multilink URT rather than an iDrive (and what Mongoose called their version of it), which has the BB decoupled from the chainstay/swingarm. The guy has never ridden the design and filed a patent for a new iteration of a horrible idea.

GT called, they want their design back! Mongoose and Schwinn used something similar ~15 years ago too. It's not URT. But I think there's a reason why GT dropped the design as soon as the fsr patent expired. Along with Mongoose. EDIT: just now looked at the Kickstarter... Holy cow, it is an URT!! Color me flabbergasted. Turns out "those that don't know the history are destined to repeat it" is true... (with the links down there I was sure the BB was on a separate link to the rear triangle)
