Sadly, this could be another case of Intense making the coolest looking prototype for their team riders in aluminum and then making the production bike for us plebes in plastic. Listening to all of you production nerds talk about the time, complexity, and cost of making the massive aluminum cradle for the new Intense DH bike, I'm pretty convinced they're planning to make the production bike in carbon. All their other bikes are plastic, their last production downhill bike was plastic, and it seems like it'd be sooooooo much easier to build the cradle for this new six-link bike with...

Have been loving the DH Maxxgrip Assegai up front on my long travel trail/enduro/sometimes DH bike. Feels like a tractor tire in all the best ways. It rolls slow, but gives me gobs of confidence and I think it's very predictable. But I'm also a big tall guy who carves big wide lazy turns, not so much with the quick snappy inside lines that require slapping the bass. I think that's why I like the transition knobs. Funny enough, Greg designed the tire and I think that's a pretty good description of his riding style, too.

Not a racing team change, but Dan Paley (DnnySoldier on insta) off santa cruz from his instagram stories/post looks like he might have been left high and dry by them. Loosedog also announced he was off santa cruz a couple weeks ago, wonder if theyve heavily cut down on non-racers? No posts from craig evans or sam dale so for now assuming they are still riding for SC

Is it really stealing if no one wants to risk their precious ride time going down the drain waiting for a x2 warranty ??? Repair???? Even the shops have to spend 800 bucks on the special tooling for the x2. while I don’t know if I want to get back ona. Vivid dh shock (had a couple, def needed rebuilds lots…. Like ummmm my 3 x2’s I’m currently rotating ) but this could be smart of ROCKSHOX to line that up.

All they'd really need to do is make it last more than a few months at a time...
