Buried in the lede is the end of collegiate racing as we have always known it(Independent volunteer conference boards), all of this, of course was announced without consulting any of the conferences, in the classic top-down-tone-deaf-fly-your-private-custom-painted-helicopter over CX worlds style that we are coming to expect from the clout hungry billionaire boys club that is now USAC. I was just down in Bentonville, and I saw these riders . They told me that UCI now has a rainbow jersey for them (after they go to DeVeLoPmEnT cAmP) and they are hoping for 2024 Olympics.

Saw you mentioning Will Greenfield and thought I knew that name. Turns out I used to watch his youtube-channel a lot 3-4 years ago. Went onto his youtube to check what he was up to and wow, things have taken a turn for the worse. That channel, how I remembered it, was about friends having fun on their bikes. But turns out he ruined it by going full-on "influencer mode". If that is the kind of people Specialized cut loose I'm not surprised at all.

Who exactly are the affected ambassadors? The lines between sponsored racer, ambassador, influencer, etc have always seemed a tad blurry to me.

Shock is not included in the 3200 eur, that is eur 550 to about eur 750 extra depending on which shock if you click on the frameset on the site

Interestingly, Sram filed a new patent to move the derailleur battery inside the rear axle with a small wire coming out of the axle and into the rear derailleur. They also have a separate patent talking about integrating a power meter into the rear axle. https://patents.justia.com/patent/11511826
