I've been using some TrueWerk work pants to good effect, not cheap but if you already have them why not.

This just popped into my FB feed, weird as I live in Texas. Anyway these are the some of the weird ideas why bike access is opposed. It’s funny that one of the arguments seems to be that animals don’t move around.

I like my USWE pack, but the hydration tube could be 4-6" longer. Also no room for a pruning saw or anchor spot to strap one one. Last week I dug out a 25yr old Mountain Smith Tour pack for a trail work day. It worked surprisingly well and held 2 water bottles, with a loose 6-pack and pruning saw...

I may never part with my V1 Hightower. It was enduro, but XC geo came around to match it over the years. I just need to invest in some lighter wheels and tires.

not apples to apples, but you can guesstimate JG's needed recovery time based on it. Interestingly, it mentions most ACL injuries tend to occur in the pre/early season. "Mean time to return was 316.1 days (range, 220-427 days), or 10.4 months." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32379980/
