No, they do NOT have brake by wire in F1. They have standard hydraulic brakes with no boosters even, like most racecars. The caveat here is they use a Moog valve to modulate (remove) hydraulic pressure from the rear brakes, controlled by the ECU, to feed in the energy recovery and keep the overall braking forces and thus brake balance. Just throwing in energy recovery or removing rear hydraulic brakes would throw the balance front and back wildly and unpredictably. I'm at work, a colleague comes over to me.... he see's me concentrating really hard. He says "oh you must be doing something important, I'll come by later" Little does he know I'm trying to figure out these cryptic team rumor illustrations about dudes riding bikes. I really hope that Dak and Pinky aren't going to Mondraker. No one has really seemed to kill it on their bikes in a while. I'm hoping that the MS Intense rumors are true for Dak. In his Downtime Podcast appearance, he kept talking about "consistency" being key to his success. If you listen closely, he's not talking about his own consistency (although that's part of it), but having consistency in bike and setup being necessary for his success. Just wanted to say thanks for continuing to make a podcast, even in the offseason. I've listened to every episode, and look forward to every one, especially during the race season. Dak's insights of individual race conditions/challenges/outcomes etc. are great for a fan like me. Your efforts are appreciated. T Also, I would buy a Norton construction shirt in a heartbeat, just don't make it orange. Sam’s sat with a smashed foot in a cast (that’s only recently been taken off) for the best part of half a year. That’s how I’d expect him to look. Hope the CRC / Nukeproof riders and staff get some things sorted out, it was a large umbrella that supported lots of people.

These look kinda like helper springs (the weird part is that they are round though). Helper springs are not there to be progressive, they are there to prevent the spring from flying around on full extension when you put massively stiff springs on a car that otherwise uses softer springs. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XkkALfh-59Q
