Option 6: I've never used an electronic drivetrain so I have no opinion at this time. I'm fundamentally a tightarse though and SRAM mechanical drivetrains are already poor value.

@TheSuspensionLabNZ Have you ever tested (dyno or other) a Rockshox or Fox damper after 200hrs of use? I've (and many of my friends) have always wondered what 'happens' to a modern Charger 3.0 or Fox Grip2 damper when it's ridden beyond the 200hrs service interval. Does it gain more damping and therefore is harsher, or is it losing damping ability because of air ingestion, etc.? People understand the reason for and can feel the benefits of a lower leg service> However, a more costly damper service often isn't noticeable by mortals and it makes it hard to understand what benefit...

Thank you! Unfortunately, I was a little too stoked for this build and I and tore my PCL the day before the first ride. Till I'm recovered I guess I will continue building bikes. Next year, I hope I can make it!

I was curious also. Here is a speculative guess based on the newer enduromtb test. We know the input force is the same, so the fluid pressure is very useful. Mt7: 42.7bar; XT: 55.7bar. XT/Mt7 can produce 55.7/42.7 = 1.30 times the oil pressure of the mt7. Using a XT/mt7 setup then should produce about 1.3*216Nm (sinter green pads) =...

I have an idea. I suppose it could also go in the standards thread. But it's one I'd like to create, not get rid of. Here it goes... What if we could have standardized hydraulic brake line fittings? (I would vote for the SRAM screw on style.) with so many frame manufactures going to internal routing it's often a real pain to fish hoses through. Santa Cruz is way ahead of the curve with the tube in frame approach. But why not take things a step further and have brake lines integrated into the frame? Plumb the lever into the...

Spoken like someone who’s never had to “declaw” their fingers after multiple Dirt Merchant to A-Line runs… There are just some instances where you don’t want your brake levers to feel like a clapped out 80s ATV...

Ooh, that looks rad. Are you using a bearing on that little pull link? Or is it too small to fit one.
