A thought I had teased out in a much longer form that I think is applicable to the Pivot situation (and I think we'll see it more often from other teams): I think Pivot is going to leave elite-level racing and BK Sport will be the team that carries on. I think the BK Sport merch brand has been the long game slow rollout of Bernard knowing Pivot want to exit racing and knowing he'll need to be on a differently-named team. I'd be keen to know the answer, as well. My guess is it allows for adjusting the dropouts without having to fiddle with the chain, making chainstay length adjustments feasible and easy. May also have the benefit of less chain slap underneath.

Also for reference, which I can put in the specs the short setting is 425 and the long is 437. More playful shorter. So the tensioner gives me consistency no matter what cog size I use.

Using the tensioner allows me to keep the chainstay in the short setting while having adjustability to swap out the rear cog tooth size based on what l'm riding. i.e. park or pedaling on trail rides. Otherwise to keep the short chainstay length i would need different chains to fit the different cogs.

Not gonna lie. Never thought I’d find a flat pedal better than the TMAC, but the Supervillain is now the king. Only problem is now I have to buy 6 more new sets in so many colors to replace the TMACS on each bike.
