You make a great point here. Some core assumptions below but here's where it stacks from an ROI perspective for a brand I reckon: - Rider salary: 100k - Logistics, travel, accomodation: 30k - WC mechanic: 40k TOTAL: 170k cost Then let's assume 10% net margin at the bike brand in a "normal" year (gross margin less staff costs, taxes, VAT, shipping costs to dealer/distributors, warranty percentage "hold back" etc). To break even on their contract and so prove they're good value, the rider needs to demonstrate 1.7M of attributable (or at least anecdotally convincing) sales uplift vs standard. Just...

I’ll go do a double check but the full build from Transition is just over 30 without any carbon or titanium. I did have Maxxis tires on when I weighed it so it very well could be closer to 29. But I’m not really concerned with weight. You have to put something in that spot tho.

Thanks! I got it made by Kustom Ventures ( kustomventures.com) It’s actually a tattoo I have on my arm that I designed a while back and one day Kustom Ventures popped up on instagram. I’ll have to upload pic of it.

Hey thanks!! No negatives at all! It’s specifically designed to mount directly to the bleed valves and behind the arch. No zip ties that could scratch the stanchions. I use both the XL and the smaller one depending on conditions. But I’m leaning towards keeping the XL on through the spring and summer now as it does a better job of deflecting small rocks. And it doesn’t weigh anything. I’ve also put the 40 mud guard on my new downhill I just built because I like it so much. When you install it just make sure you remove the washers...
