Sacki Liked a comment about Press Release Introducing the World's Lightest 80mm Dropper - BikeYoke Divine SL
10/17/2018 10:42am I am sorry, but FRM Obi1 seatpost is not even available on FRM´s own website. Maybe you can tell me, why? Where can you buy it, or where can you find information about it, besides the old articles? Also the FRM weight is for 60mm drop and 27.2 diameter. DIVINE SL is 30.9 an 80mm drop. Quite a bit of a difference.

kperras Added a reply to Are today's entry level DH bikes as good as high end of the past?
9/13/2018 9:20am Geometry: even today's inexpensive bikes have better geometry than the bikes of 2010 or earlier Kinematics: same goes for kinematics. We've learned quite a bit in the last 10 years. Suspension: Low end suspension today was the high end suspension of yesterday. Take the guts of Motion Control. That was in the high end forks 10+ years ago and now...

kperras Added a comment about news story RESULTS: Qualifying from Leogang World Cup Downhill
6/9/2018 6:41pm Tough day for Reece Wilson. Top first split to ending up not qualifying, after a podium appearance in Ft. William. Highs and lows of racing.

4/18/2018 9:35am Longer reaches necessitate taller stacks, otherwise you're stretched over the front center of the bike, with a weight bias towards the front and unable to react quickly to shift that weight back.

7/7/2017 8:27am What happened with Matt Walker? Also Mark Wallace is having a season; pretty damn consistent so far and the first race result in Lourdes was no coincidence.

Hey Guys, thought I'd add a few comments on the technical details of the bike. The upper shock hardware is designed with an inner sleeve (small part #7), like a thru-axle front hub, to prevent binding if the upper shock bolt is over-torqued. I've attached a photo of the set-up. http://s61.photobucket.com/user/kperras/media/image001_zpse9wg3tvs.jpg… The cause of the above binding issue can come from a number of sources: the bearings are not pressed in all the way and the inner bearing races are not making contact with the sleeve, the sleeve is missing, the sleeve is out of tolerance. Truthfully, this is the...

kperras Added a comment about news story FINAL RESULTS: 2017 Lourdes World Cup Downhill
5/1/2017 2:23pm Sorry my last post was referring to the 2007 Champery run. Tactics did come into play then. No reason why teams couldn't do the same thing for races nowadays.

5/1/2017 10:44am A good portion of the field knew bad weather was coming and tactically took casual qualifying runs to ensure an earlier start time on race day. DH isn't just about racing against the clock, it's about preparing the right equipment, training, and in these two cases judging the weather. All that aside, I did appreciate this post by Alan Milway on Instagram sorting out the top 10 qualifiers. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTiuffdlXBG/?taken-by=alanmilway&hl=en

4/13/2017 8:26am It's an equipment based sport. If it can make them go faster athletes will look at modifying their equipment for a technological advantage.
