4/14/2025 12:29pm Damn it, I thought it was going to be my turn post the link to the tech rumours derailment of the day thread elsewhere on vital, but it doesn't look like there's a chain stay/rear center length fight topic. How is there no "fight about chain stay length here" thread already??

4/14/2025 9:34am Actually, it was called espresso 🤓. I had a 350, good sliding but boy that thing went down as fast as butter on a hot toast.

4/14/2025 9:34am They were also promoting very low anti squat (or even pro squat), no chain growth, very little to no progression at all etc. And here we are 🤷🏻

4/8/2025 3:12pm In my industry (large commercial construction projects), we've had a few of our subs go under because the bank called on their line of credit. It's not rare for a sub that does 30M a year to be into their line of credit slightly depending on how the year ebbs/flows. For example, if a few projects get behind on change order approval and revenue issuance, and then they have 2-3 projects get started and ramp up before their billing/schedule of values provides positive cashflow, they can dip into that LOC. Just recently, I've had 4 subs with healthy financials and...

4/8/2025 3:11pm Many USA brands have 3rd party warehouses that get product shipped to them directly, partly for duty/tariff reasons. I don't think it will be a big deal for Canadian consumers, aside from spillover effects that will create upwards pricing pressure for all.

4/8/2025 3:10pm Around me where we ride alot of state parks, there is no one giving tickets, but there is swath of people who don't want bikes on any of the trails. They love to conflate any poor interaction to anyone who rides bikes. We have tons of mutli use paths that connect trails. Its gone take one bad accident and we may lose bikes in our parks. They don't care if its EMBT or what class. Its a bike to them. I don't understand why anyone needs to go that fast pedaling. Commuter on road, sure.I was trying to figure out...

4/8/2025 9:18am The "innovation" here is that they cut out the sketchy fly by night middle man and allow users to make their bikes illegal for trail use in many markets off the shop floor. At least in British Columbia*, the very fact users can (maybe, if the feature is allowed in Canada; and lets be real dealers can probably unlock it...

4/8/2025 9:02am I am personally very concerned about the ability for the user to toggle to class 3 and the higher speed cutoff. Specialized just opened a can of worms with access issues and ebikes being lumped in with electric motorbikes. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
