Small DIY fix for everyone wanting a better shoe contact, less metal-on-metal icy feeling on their SPD’s, for a lot cheaper than bying new pedals. Is to apply some epoxy cold metal welding glue (not sure what its actually called in rest of the world), then sand it down so that your cleat is properly in contact with the mech...

"no one is watching" UK/Ireland you mean, plenty of people still watching. And lets face it, this was coming all along and yes it will come to rest of the world too at some point, just like every other sport. Hockey (national and NHL), football, NFL, F1, rally, depending on the package deal that's 35-80 euros in Finland, so in...

Yes, DH and Enduro are both under gravity teams and their name pops up in that list because Tarmo has points from national races and I believe Tristan has some too, just as Moir's name is on there too.

Michelin Wild Enduro MH Racing TLR 29" Folding Tyre | bike-components Michelin Wild Enduro Rear Racing TLR 29" Tire | bike-components Have you thought about these? I'm huge fan of that rear tire, really fast, lacks in braking but decent cornering too, from the front specific ones I've only used the MS one. Can't find these in Finland, so you'll...

Johnny Watts isn't really meant for mountain biking, so stay away from that. For the regular tires, I would go Mary on the front, tacky/betty on the rear, either in trail front, gravity rear or both gravity. Ultrasoft front and soft rear. Hans dampf in rear is an option too for a fast rolling tire, but personally not a fan...

finally got a chance to measure my Albert gravity 2.6's today. 61mm at their widest point on a 30mm i9 rim. My 2.6 Dissector on another 30mm i9 rim is 67mm. So they're definitely on the small side. I have a set of Albert 2.5's in the trail casing arriving Monday

Don’t poke that hornests nest, he will figure it out eventually that the fastests riders are in fact riding the world cup.

in which scenario in your twisted mind can a fast racer NOT race a world cup?

Its better news than that. Apparently theres a rolldown. Where if a rider getting a top 5 already has qualification through their Elite team, the spots roll down. So from this one today (after the elite team status is finalised by UCI), elite men in 6th/7th/8th today (at a minimum) will end up Golden ticket spots. And some roll down in other categories too

Plenty of non-cycling sponsors in the XC world (Ford for example from the car world), its just DH/enduro that lacks them.

There's 8 more wildcard team entries per race plus 3 more national cyling federation entries. Also pretty sure every single person you mentioned Rachel/Gwin/ Amaurry can race if they wanted to given their status. Now I don't agree with some of the rules too, but at least try reading them?

My Albert 29 x 2.5 Trail Ultrasoft measures about 2.33" wide after plenty of stretching on a 28 ID wheel. It actually works just amazing as a front tire on my trail bike ('23 Smuggler). It was inadequate for the front of my e-bike ('23 Relay) and came off after 2 rides. It's odd because I ride my trail bike nearly as hard and maybe even faster through the turns; I think the terrain is just a bit different where the E-bike ends up in more loose rock where the trail bike is in more hard pack. Also the e-bike...

Unpredictable squirm and undamped rebound, even running 3-4 psi over what I'm used to. I think they'll work really well with some people who like really squishy tires that conform to everything. But I felt like I had the same level of grip running DH Contis running less pressure and a more stable edge feel. I like being able to lean over my bike and feel like the side knobs are carving like skis, not be squishy Hoka running shoes. The side knobs feel might be a MM specific thing (I know older versions of that tire felt pretty vague...

I just installed 2.6 albert radials with the gravity casing on 30mm rims and without measuring (yet) I can verify that they are small

Yes it has indeed been the worst year of "rumours" and tangents my favourite was: Camile Balanche to Pivot cos there is a photo of her wearing a Pivot tshirt, A post or two later, someone says, you now that's a photo of Emiline who works for Pivot not Camile.
