I think you’re both missing the point of the Tempo. It’s not supposed to be a light efficient trail bike, it’s meant to be a short travel bike that you hammer like an enduro bike, same as the Forbidden Druid (which also comes with a Lyrik/36). Nobody is buying a Tempo to count grams or ride blue trails. The 36 is the right fork for the bike’s intentions. I’d personally also spec gravity tires on it.

Dynamic sag is just an average. I will often look at a specific part of the track if he's feeling something weird but generally I rely more on his feeling and our static measurement. He prefers 27.5 rear, but if all the stages were like 1 and 5 we would have considered 29. Most of us mortals couldn't ride any of these setups, it's hard to describe how fast these guys are and how much support they need.

Honestly looks pretty good. Sometimes 29/27 mullets look a little weird because the jump in sizing. This looks just slightly bigger. The bike looks pretty proportional.

Man, I’d love a t7/t9 Cannibal for out back. I imagine we will see a radial version before we see that dual compounds though. The Krytotal Re DH soft out back mixed with the Cannibal up front is a solid combo for Summer though.

As a professional mechanic I'm surprised at how bad the quality control is in general in mtb. From bad alignment, poor parts spec, lack of proper covers on bearings to shit geo, etc. When clients ask what bikes I'd recommend I'm left scratching my head lol. It feels like the marketing guys decide most stuff, the product managers don't ever ride and/or the engineers are terrible.
