Finally got through the Enduro Mag tyre test article and as the test results are given basically in full, but give a bad overview, I put everything ina Google Sheets spreadsheet. I also added tyre diameter (all 29...), width (mostly 2.4 and 2.5 inches), casing (trail, enduro, downhill) and compound softness (hard, medium soft). Please don't make a mess of it (I guess Vital people are chill), as the link gives full editing permissions. I'm lost regarding tread softness when it comes to Kenda, Pirelli, Specialized, VeeTire and WTB and lost regarding casings for the latter two as well, so...

On mtbr forum some say that the SRAM kit works fine and others that it doesn't. Hayes fittings has more thread and fittings ends are shaped differently, its more like cone shaped. I would personally just get the Hayes kit, it's not cheap I know but you know it works. Just get some rags ready, bleed process gets some dot...

Always Mary in the front, always in super soft, and now that it's a thing, Radial too, i don't like flow stuff so for me it's just the best front tyre in all sort of condition, Dust, Mud, Loam, Slabs, Roots, Snow, Everything

Well not quite. Exo+ is still a thin casing no matter how much pressure. 30psi in a radial gravity casing is compliant, has great grip, support and puncture resistance. Exo+ is hard, bouncy with much worse puncture resistance. My comment about upping the pressure was just about me being stubborn and riding a radial with same pressures as with regular...

Radials will protect the rim just fine when you up the pressures. Gravity radials are the first tire in a long time that I've managed to rim ding on the front. Now that I've ridden them for three months, my race pressures has gone up 3psi front and 4psi rear compared to specialized gravity casing in dry conditions, little bit...

https://www.bikeradar.com/features/tech/specializeds-new-tyre-rd-facili… Had no idea that Spesh had a tire R&D facility in Germany. Pretty cool read considering the lore behind all the factory test pilot tires out there from various mfg’s. Wouldn’t be surprised if Logic was running rubber that dropped below what I measured with the off-the-shelf T9. Can’t lie the Maxx Grip stuff that was just under 40a on my durometer sticks as well as it does even is the softest of moon dust… Also some interesting comments about the casing plys and what range they able adjust to.

The new dissector looks pretty good! The side knobs are beefed up and the transition is filled in. The center knobs look highly ramped like Conti Xynotal. Will we finally have a well rounded fast rolling rear tire option from Maxxis? The new DHF v2 + Dissector v2 would be a pretty solid fast rolling setup. I’ve seen a few, considering there’s not many on Schwalbe regardless, with the Albert as a rear of front and rear both on Dh or EDR 🧐 Also, knobs are not lower than an Assegai, go measure them, I did. And I think it goes hard as a rear tyre and rolls incredibly well for how beefy it is. Was recently on very loose and dry condition around the sea to sky area and it might be the radials doing wonders but even crawling down steep double blacks I’ve had 0 wishes on stronger braking from the tyre

You mess up in seeding you start where you start. Own it. You are going to have to deal with slower riders on course. Better luck next year. Does matter if you are AG or some never was has been local. Life ain't always stacked in favour.

The fork may flex during use, but if it is binding that bad unloaded it will have a negative impact on performance. I found the PUSH 9.1 to have a tight bushing fit initially, and as such it had more feedback through the hands and was difficult to get into the last 30mm of travel. After the bushing fit was corrected, performance was noticeably improved. With all the same settings on the same trails the fork now gets within 10mm of bottom and is much better on the hands. It would be very interesting to see if any of the...

People who routinely service forks have seen this from Fox for years now. Floating axle or not, Fox finds a way to make the fork bind. Not surprising it has carried on to the Podium. All the time and money spent developing an air spring with a "floating piston" only to have the chassis bind more than the air spring ever could, pretty sad.

Jee-zuss... That La Thuile edit is outstanding. Reminds me of old gaming clan edits that hit hard.
