10/3/2025 3:20pm I've never seen that detail. I just get their valves because they're readily available.

10/1/2025 11:33am This is sounding like the long rear center discussion lol. My favorite part of riding mountain bikes is joining in with the half century of research and development that every rider gets to be a part of. I think we are starting to figure out something about brakes, but it might take a while to get to that sweet spot.

10/1/2025 11:07am Their solid products like valves and accessories are fine IMHO, but stay far away from their liquids.

10/1/2025 9:45am China opens up a new coal-fired power plant every week. Their green initiatives are a facade. They certainly can benefit from AI, but like what is happening here (or at least being spoken of for development) they will simply build an isolated grid per data center and it will more than likely be coal-powered.

10/1/2025 9:39am I can comment on this: In apps like Instagram, Facebook, and TT, the last few months have been a cringe filled nightmare with the AI voice-over tech that has infested videos, ESPECIALLY review or comparison videos. These are videos that show real videos just with some generic voice speaking. It is so painfully obvious that a real person is not...

10/1/2025 9:21am IME a Copilot chatbot might do 80% of your task in 20% of your time, but you'll be then spending 200+% of your time figuring out where those 20% are and fixing them manually anyway.

10/1/2025 9:20am It's been mostly useless slop for at least several years. There's been some good articles on Ars Technica & the like on how Google's lack of care on their part to fight SEO results gaming, focus on maximizing number of sold ads (even if they're on slop sites), and lately the AI summaries (which just recycle the slop) are to blame for the enshittification of the internet. It's pretty telling that what was once the gold standard of search is now the worst user experience if you care about getting useful information. There is apparently looming tension because if they...

10/1/2025 9:07am Just to avoid Nukeproof looking like they're associated with this, this is purely a link farm: "The site is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program,an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com." The address is 125 Bates Brothers Road, Westerville, OH which is nothing to do with Nukeproof as far as I'm aware.

10/1/2025 9:07am Hard to argue with this—and I was a copywriter in the bike world. I appreciate good writing, but not enough to buy a bike I don’t want.

7/23/2025 2:44pm just as a side note about holden, Holden got bailed out in Australia - which wasnt helped by The damn Union they had, They wanted their almost no skill assembly jobs paying higher than most other jobs in Australia. Unions in Aus and NZ are serious poison to any company and it's workers, especially the MWU. I've been apart of several as a worker and man they just hold union meetings to suck as much money from a company as possible without any care to their members actual job retention.(there is kids straight out of school with no skills earning...

7/23/2025 2:38pm *sets down beer* Pro Team variations - fit is too tight for anyone with a body fat higher than 5%, but that won't stop a dedicated MAMIL [see also: Lampre Man]. Aspirational[?]. Very tight fit. Replicas of jerseys from every race team they sponsor, plus non-logo versions of the same. Tight, yo. Core - regular road jerseys for warm weather riding. The fit is what most would consider snug but doable. Brevet - merino version of the Core line, with more pockets. MAMIL-tolerant. Classic - MAMIL-friendly merino, very comfy on brisk days.
