3/18/2026 12:45am Our French-speaking colleagues at Vojo Mag reporting that Isabeau Courdurier is planning to come back to racing in 2026 (after the recent birth of her first child). She will race select enduro and DH events, with the focus mostly on the latter (coached by Cecile Ravanel).

3/9/2026 12:35pm I also have the flash 38 but it’s being tested by a media company right now so I have a loaner zeb. Intend doesn’t care to send media samples for testing so I loaned my own for testing.

2/22/2026 1:42pm I love how angry people on this website get when I challenge assumptions. You’re frustrated because you can’t explain flickable. You’re befuddled because we have never even had to define that term in the MTB world before: we have all just taken it for granted. Look, it’s ok to like short chainstays. You have adapted your riding to them. But you don’t need to be angry at people looking to improve/refine mountain bikes through lengthening the rear centers. Most of us just want proportional CSs not LONG CHAINSTAYS so don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll still be able to have fun...

2/22/2026 12:11am Can't say I've any time on Mavens, period (Wisco Pride n all) but this highlights why I never buy 1st gen anything. There's things you learn in development, then there's things you learn in the field after release. What's acceptable to the folx on payroll (lever feel/input here) may not be acceptable to the wider market. A smaller MC piston will provide a lighter touch when pushing bigger caliper pistons, but it necessitates longer throw due to fluid displacement in the system. There's no way of circumventing that because physics. So it looks like Magura has something right with the...

2/16/2026 9:56am “Flickable” as a quality imparted by short chainstays is nonsense. Riding from a centered position and through the feet makes any wheelbase/chainstay length more flickable

2/16/2026 9:56am Remember , our sport is full of ideas that have stuck around due to a notion of how things are perceived. Kinda like some roadies who will tell up that a 23c tire at 105psi feels faster. Even though every pro team is running wider tires at a lower pressure.. The shorter rear feels more nimble because the FC was still short.. And, that was based on thinking that went back to the early MTB days where geometry was based on road bike knowledge.. I've wondered what the next big geometry debate/ change would be.. I'm thinking ive now found...

2/12/2026 1:19pm Hello brake nerds. I subjected my partner and best friend to a year of brake swaps to get their opinions. We made a low production value video talking about our thoughts. I would also like to contribute some brake info because I actually took the time to disassemble and measure the master cylinder diameters. Really interesting how different the Lewis and Hayes feel with identical hydraulic specs. Lever geometry, leverage curve, return spring rate, seal friction, and pad compound all add up. Also I feel like formula would make a few running changes and be competing with the top dogs...

2/10/2026 11:36am Reece Wilson has a good video about that BMB stem. Without even testing one myself (I really would like to), wouldn't recommend anyone to even try one with chainstays shorter than 450 preferably longer than that.

2/2/2026 10:45am Came to say the same thing. Sam is a legend, however he is pretty quiet on the socials, does the odd race, man of few words, isnt proactively chasing media and doing the moto life with his sons. Not really what a brand would be looking for in an ambassador.

2/2/2026 10:45am don‘t get me wrong sam hill is a legend, but what does he bring to a bike company these days? no content on youtube or any other social platform. should he get a ride/contract/money because he‘s sam hill? i also don‘t get the feeling that he‘s into product development either.

2/2/2026 2:26am There’s already been a lot of great points made in the comments above but I’ll chime in as someone who’s been on a quite modular bike for a few seasons now (Kavenz VHP). I’ll start by saying 2 things, 1. I love modularity. 2. It’s always a compromise in some way (weight, cost, kinematics, geo, packaging, etc.) To elaborate on my first point, modularity means more riders can get comfortable on a great bike. There is no shortage of options in the market, and everyone has their personal preferences. Being about to pick a bike you like/identify with for the...

1/23/2026 12:33am But why? Why would you need higher pressure in snow, fat tires do their job well already, that of being suspension and actually be able to stay on top of snow. Maybe in the 3" category, but that's just a stupid tire size anyway, not good enough for stay on top and wide enough not to carve through.
