11/4/2025 1:28pm I can't imagine he'll have a tough time finding some kind of support. There is no stronger ambassador for mountain biking than Tippie.

11/4/2025 1:28pm Tippie was in NWA quite a bit over the last couple of years as part of YT events. Everything said on that writeup is true. He's unflagging in his positivity and stoke. He includes everyone and interact with everyone from the kookiest kid to the most seasoned pro. He's almost uncomfortably positive and full of stoke at times, but a brand really couldn't ask for a better ambassador. I hope he lands somewhere. Dude is a legend, and his story of climbing out of the dark depths of addiction is inspirational.

11/4/2025 5:31am Wherever the relationship is now (seems healthy enough) its undeniable it wasnt at least a little bit dodgy. Adult team manager getting romantically involved with team member he signed when she was underage. I think it being called out somewhat isn't necessarily a bad thing so that sort of shit doesn't become normalised.

11/4/2025 5:30am He does, but he also talks a lot of shit, and is famously a massive nit-picker at race venues and complains a lot. So what goes around comes around really. People in scene aren't vindictive, but you can only tolerate a whinging pom so much, ya know? Still waiting for the Hardline BC announcement to come, wonder when that will be and what teams will be going

10/24/2025 4:55pm I was also so thrown off by the comment that a shop would rent a wheel... that sounds like an easy way to go bankrupt if you ask me. I wouldn't want to rent myself a wheel. My wife's mom wants to pass on her like-new, lady-riden, 2023 Devinci Troy, which by all means is a sick bike. What keeps me up at night is that it has superboost and doesn't vibe with all our 148 bikes.

10/24/2025 4:53pm I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE

10/23/2025 7:46am 5 bikes between wife and I, and yes I agree with every word this guy says. All my rear wheels are 148 boost axles, makes it easy when.... 1. One needs to be trued/serviced 2. Rim cracks at the bikepark 3. Biking trips I just bring an extra ready to go rear wheel I will also likely never own anything superboost, and if I get a DH bike I'll find one that's on 148 (frameworks/forbidden etc.)

10/23/2025 7:43am Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...

10/22/2025 3:17am maybe eebs will make those trails fun? At least knock em out quicker so you can go rent a side-by-side or get drunk. granted, it’s been ten years since I went to Moab but the trails were so far behind back then I can’t imagine they’ve caught up with the times… I certainly agree that eebs do no more significant damage than pedal bikes. Especially there!

10/21/2025 8:18am Lotta love for 31.8 bars today, I thought it was all about the 35's! I ride OneUp carbon normally so plenty of flex but I hear you on alloy bars, great feedback all, thanks.
