side note, the New trail XR is damn good - just got done with my time testing it - Insera has really upped their Manufacturing Quality & QC - Everything lined up and operated perfectly... Frames heavy sure but man is it good. Only thing worth noting on it is the Low Anti Squat but All models come with high lock out force shock tunes - this in turn makes these bikes so good down the hill, They dont lack any pop either which surprised me. 10/10 would buy with my own money(yes do have a frame orderd)

Was just confirmed Merida changing to bosch as per the latest releases.... I'd love to know Bike brands actual reason for changing away from shimano? is it mounting points? Hardware? no ability for brands to use their own apps(like giant do)? Lack of power? product support? Or are shimano just like 'Meh, ebikes' I had 5 shimano motor failures, 2 brose and none from my yamaha or any bosch i've owned. For which i found shimano took forever to respond an get it replaced

Surprised to say I really like the Cotic. Couldn’t be bothered if it were simply a pedal bike, but that thing looks sick! Refined test mule vibes.

Is the scout dead? It isn't even on the Transition website. I would be sad, but also wouldn't blame them for killing it. I was a scout fanboy. I went with a Norco sight in 2020 because of reasons, but one of them was because they also had a dedicated 27.5 bike. I was still a hold out, but the next bike I buy will be 100% be a mullet. It still makes me sad and slightly nostalgic though. I remember when 27.5 felt like big monster truck awesome size.

Pretty cool concept. I remember first noticing this on Vali Höll's YT. She rode without the pulleys during practice and then they were added for the final. Rulezman also makes them for his Banshee bikes. He claims it completely removes pedal kickback.

The 29 lyrik lowers allowed wheel clearance around the arch. Custom crowns were needed to accommodate the c-c of the bore on said lowers. We built two sets for the 2018 season. I think we had to limit the travel to 190 though

Brandon Semenuk being originally a slopestyle athlete and taking wins, at a suppose to be freeride big mountain competition like its nothing, then there is something to be said about the judging/rules to the event. Its like it has an identity crisis. Fix your problem RedBull.

From the couch, I think Isted had a winning line. Too bad he wasn’t able to get it together. I think it’s time for new judges. They obviously have their biases and it’s clear that won’t change. It was pretty stupid when they tried to explain his score saying he made it look too easy. That was such a cop out. The exposure and creativity of Brendons run should have been weighted far more than it was.

The sport of freeri... "Stolenride" is dead. But you know what? We're not the target audience anyway... Haven't been for a couple of years as far as I can tell? The marketing money is after couch dwellers wanting spectacle. The people who created the sport or event are irrelevant, the money (and it is only the money that the corporate's are interested in) is in them not us. We are just the creative cannon fodder for their profit and loss spreadsheet. And the spectacle they want for that market is slopestyle meets "Death Race 2000".
