Not to beat the new Saint 12sp chain dead horse but I think we saw not one but two possibly career ending crashes at Whistler because of chains snapping. Both on SRAM, which uses the T-type 12 speed chain I think? Why are we not using the beefiest chain possible for 7 or 8 speed drivetrains?

Almost 2000miles on my latest kmc x10 chain. 70nm e8000 and 11spd microshift steel 11-50 cassette. Ill be changing it soon with a new cassette, mx r der , and a fresh x10. I think its the 2nd chain on the current cassette. I dont think itd be the 3rd

I've done some digging for info on this thing since it first started showing up. There's an interview with the project lead on a German website, he says it tops out at 160mm, has a 100 hour service interval, and the RRP is €1,800. Elsewhere it's reported to weigh 2,850 g (6.3 lbs.).

Cool! Some interesting fhings there. Sounding a bit like an 08 marz 888 w the coil and 100hr service only better with the air preload. May have priced me out but everything is pricey now and there's probably a market for it. I was hoping for 180 travel. Thanks for the info!

Dude, if you're doing 2-3 batteries in a day? Jeebus, Mary and Joseph! Impressive! We've talked about doing something like that. Strategically placing batteries (or even chargers), for the super epic rides. Turns out we're just downhillers at heart and just blast trails, rinse and repeat. We've already done the long epic trails on the regular bikes, long time ago. Now, with families, we can just ride locally, until our hearts are content, and be back in time for late lunch. Awe yeah....

Odd design choice to have adjustable legs on a single crown IMO. Very small sector of 27.5 front wheeled bikes these days…

Attention tech nerds! I'm currently out at Sea Otter Europe, working on the coverage from today, I figured I'd drop this here for you guys - KYB is coming to MTB! The upside-down fork shown here should be available as of November. It's got a few cool features, like the ability to run it in 27 or 29 configuration by sliding the fork legs up and down in the crowns (because the crowns are bolted on)! I had an EP8 bike with removable 630 battery (Yeti 160e) that was a sub-30 second swap. I was able to carry a Shimano 630 battery in a Osprey Raptor 14 pack without much issue. I've been on multiple rides where a second battery was carried and used and I know of a ride group that pretty much requires a second battery or range extender at minimum to finish their big back country loops. Not having range anxiety when committed to a big lap makes for a much more enjoyable experience. I can very much see the use case for...
