I’m so glad I’ve never had to ride in a trail area that doesn’t have dedicated one way mtb trails. It seems like it just causes so many problems.

Speed cut offs are fairly appropriate. How fast you get to that relatively slow cut offs is mostly irelevant. Conflict happens mostly on lower angle trails where both directional users can get to the upper reaches of that cut off, wether assisted or not. Thats why emotos don't mix well on those mtb/emtb bidirectional trails. 50-60mph is way too fast...

To be fair , even without emtb's those groups will find something to restrict regular mtb's from "their" trails. It's a numbers game. Emtb's create more cyclists = more say at the table. Sidenote: after looking through a number of the last comments i was thinking. I've had my eeb now into my 7th year. I ski half the year...

With 1500w youre lucky to "rinse' it for 30minutes. With your moto or sports car you "rinse" it for hrs then fill up and continue. I think most people will be using lower power modes to get a little longer ride

I’m sure this access thing is going to be different in whatever area we are talking about. Different land managers, and perspectives. Here in Southern Oregon there are E bikes everywhere. Hikers and other groups have complained about them, but the forest service and the city of Ashland don’t have the manpower or the resources to enforce any of it. Basically like trying to stop a tsunami. The amount of rogue trails that have sprung up has went nuclear. The unexpected benefit is that everybody is spread out and it has seemingly decreased conflicts. This power argument is just a...

For me its not a huge issue. It'd be fun climbing otherwise impossible climbs but with that much power i don't think youre going very far even on a 800w battery. Im more concerned with servicing them, customer care, and that skinny battery. Bosch may make more sense on all those possible issues. Rebuildable and great supply network and the...

Something i noticed in the video report from bosch - When they release the 12A charger the Flow app will be able to control max charge state such as 40-80% etc - for me this is huge, as i do alot of quick local rides and get several quick late night laps over a week without recharging and id rather not leave it at 100% when i do a recharge.(ie ill ride 4 nights in a row and then not ride for a few days due to whatever reasons) Anther note is Bosch said The 12A charge current is well...

I think my sight is 23ish with dh casing/cushcore/800wh/coil rear/38 and the only place I notice the weight is jumping. And overall my upper body gets more sore but that might just be because of more laps.

Honestly, I think the trick check is gonna be a hit. I don’t really care about it, but it reminds me of how ridiculously happy my 63-year-old mom (who still rips a meat bike, btw) gets from that little Garmin “beep” when you get airborne. Riding with her is hilarious because she’s popping off every little thing she can find, then letting out a full-on “whoop” every time it beeps. It’s wholesome as hell.

The 12A charger is making these 600wh bikes suddenly much more interesting if you're able to make it back to the car for lunch.

Is the sx rhat bad with power consumption? I still have my 55lb 70nm/e8000 equipped yt decoy with the 540w battery and it's enough battery half the time and i thought bosch was almost 40% more efficient in all the range tests ive seen. I figured a 45ish lb bike with the sx and a 400w battery and the 250w...
