5/1/2026 11:53am That new fast charger is pretty compact. Im not sure i'd need the extra power that often but a fast charger adds some nice options

4/30/2026 2:15pm Is the sx rhat bad with power consumption? I still have my 55lb 70nm/e8000 equipped yt decoy with the 540w battery and it's enough battery half the time and i thought bosch was almost 40% more efficient in all the range tests ive seen. I figured a 45ish lb bike with the sx and a 400w battery and the 250w...

4/30/2026 1:17pm EU has right to repair law going into effect July. I believe any motor sold new in the EU at that point requires repair parts for 7-10yr. So theoretically there will be parts out there somewhere in the world, hopefully parts trickle down to US.

4/29/2026 6:30pm Yes im aware of bosch and yamaha having a number of spots that can rebuild them. Bosch and yanaha parts seem to be readily available. I'm not sure on any others

4/29/2026 3:32pm They are not super reliable. The Bosch Gen5 is the motor to buy to optimize reliability and was a significant factor in my own selection of one.

4/29/2026 9:40am Thats decent. I remember snapped chainstays were a thing with trek a number of years ago and it could be a pain getting warrantee despite it being relativdly common. Ill take that as a good sign

4/29/2026 9:10am Quite a few people seem to like the tq. Are they durable? Rebuildable? Are parts available if need be?

4/28/2026 8:42am I thought they might work on the sx. Stop the rattle, make it 75-80nm, trim little bits of weight, fast charger and lighter battery tech. Seperate them selves from the needless, at this point, power wars

4/17/2026 7:53pm I just bought a Crafty (Bosch) knowing full well the Zendit (Avinox) was being released. The Crafty geo better fits me and my terrain. The Bosch CX has more power than I need already. The Zendit is also like another $1.2k. The slimmer downtube and 3 lbs of weight savings would be nice but not worth it consider the Crafty is a better fit.

4/17/2026 7:52pm Due to the motor. Also, most people drop their seats to some degree on steep technical climbing on e-bikes. A steep seatube angle isn’t as important when you have a motor.

4/14/2026 4:59pm I bought one of these in 2018 for $6000 AUD ($4275) the spec was ridiculous, fox factory front and back, shimano di2, saint brakes etc with double down tyres it still only weighed 22kg. Sure it was ugly as sin, but chucking a 29 inch front wheel on that bike it was amazing. so 8 years later, we are catching up at triple the cost. ~22kg. The only difference is peak power and 300wH more battery? yes, it was ugly as sin. But the ability to swap a battery in 10 seconds was nice.

4/14/2026 4:40pm Categorizing full power ebike riders as "low effort" doesn't reflect reality. The best dh riders in my area ("retired" moto racers) go hard on the ups and downs. They absolutely charge, and want a 45-50 pound bike anyways for the dh. They also kill it on the climbs

4/14/2026 4:39pm You're missing the point. For a two pound penalty you can have double the range. You can set your avinox to a low eco mode and have the same gentle assistance. The first time you try and go on a ride with your full power ebike friends on your TQ you'll understand that it just makes so much more sense to have a bike that can do both

4/13/2026 6:06pm Man, I want SL bikes to be a thing so badly, but the math just doesnt work out. If you use the Mahle hub motor (ignoring any performance issues with having an extra 1.3kg of unsuspended weight) and you want over 300 watt hours of assistance, youre looking at 7ish pounds extra. A very light enduro build is 33 pounds. It looks like very light Avinox builds are reaching close to 45 pounds. Unless you dont have kids but are still old enough to complain about things, and you can afford to have a bunch of extra bikes, thats a...

4/13/2026 1:47pm There just aren’t enough TQ bikes here (US). The Trek and Propain are close. Trek needs to bring back M/L sizing and pricing accounting for a post Avinox m2 world. Amflow PX — if the weights are accurate — means you can detune to TQ levels, have almost the same SL weight but get that “sun is setting gotta turbo hustle back to the car” mode.

4/11/2026 8:18am Makes sense. Im interested to hear how all that shakes out with all these bikes and the avinox motors. Still early days but lots of them out there now. Like ski touring gear, i generally wait atleast a year on new products

4/10/2026 8:30pm I looked through the country selector for megamo. They don't list USA but they have an "international" selection. USD to CAD rate would make the teewing flux with the m2s quite reasonable https://teewingbikes.ca/products/flux-one-a
