10/21/2025 3:18am Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

10/17/2025 6:12pm After listening to the b practice podcast, i was actually kind of surprised how much results still play into contract negotiations. I know they are paid to be racers, but like Dak said, no one really remembers who got sixth at the last race. Also, no one is really selling downhill bikes, so very few people are being like that bike was fast I’m buying that. Dak certainly has a “people’s champ” vibe to him and people really do seem to enjoy following along with him and his story. I would have thought that was worth quite a bit when...

10/10/2025 9:55am Yeah it was two seasons ago. But I hardly call barely off a world champs win washed up. Sure Greg recognizes the value Danny offers as a model example of a racer. And on the right day (especially with a bit of luck) a big result will come. Also the uk is a big mtb market and Danny is hugely popular across pretty much the whole of the sport. Not just at home. I mean how does he sit down with balls that big? Stay on yer bike Danny. Legend!

10/9/2025 3:50am Having ridden a DJI powered bike (Mith) extensively, to the extent I still have an order in for one, and also having a Bosch Gen 5 bike, with the power upgrade, the post above covers the pertinent points. I don’t think there is that much variance in efficiency, all things being equal, but I don’t buy into the notion of “if it’s not got a DJI it’s not selling”. Bosch outsell DJI at a rate of thousands to one, they aren’t going anywhere with the latest motor. It’s really good & fractions different in the real world. The problem is...

10/9/2025 3:47am Alright y'all I've been manning up to mention this but let's put out a feeler for updating that "Emtb rumors and motor whatnot innovations" thread? Not that the new motor with 2 more whatevers of awesome wouldn't be interesting, but it's so interesting it deserves its own topic I reckon!

10/7/2025 5:28pm The Avinox is clearly a nice unit, but I view the Bosch as much quieter (only motor that disconnects when freewheeling), free-er pedaling when power is off, has built in bash ring protection where-as the DJI motors need the 245 gram E13 bash ring, has better weight distribution, more service options and importantly more efficient. There are also some that feel the torque sensing is lacking on the DJI. It would appear that the DJI is about 20% less efficient than the Bosch, even when power is equalized. That means on a meters climbed per watt, the Bosch is actually...

10/7/2025 5:26pm Maybe the dji is a bic pen like the shimano? Are they rebuildable? All of the bosch motors can still be rebuilt

10/7/2025 12:51pm It's unfortunate that he's caught up in all this after the Cannondale and Intense flubs. He's one of the guys who's been a constant podium thread in both Enduro and Downhill for his whole career but seems to get shafted. Hopefully he finds some solid ground to rebuild after a few injuries.

9/16/2025 1:57pm I use the full range, we have ebike trails with steep climbs. What I don't need are 12 gears, I could get away with 9-10 with the same range.

8/20/2025 3:16pm It's really funny that SRAM's sponsored elite riders are going for a setup that's less bitey with a lighter lever feel, because I got downvoted to hell on the other site for saying that the initial heavy bite was a bad thing.
