Holy shit the Goldstone's house just burned down. Bailey posted on IG. That's go to be an emotional rollercoaster of a week after Jackson just won the overall. She thankfully wrote that everyone is alright. It still fucking sucks though.

Maybe a bit of gossip, but as an example of how wide ranging the YT fallout is, I was watching Brian Cahal's recap of Rampage and when discussing the YT frame failure he mentioned that YT still owes him a travel invoice which probably comes from when he was invited to test the new decoy at their press camp.

Are they any success stories of a private equity firm coming in and improving a bike brand?

Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…

I pushed the rock shox product manager to keep the 35mm Boxxer and update with a tapered steerer and 15mm axle for these bikes. Shot down.

Of all the things being auctioned off as a result of YT's closure, this one really spoke to me.

Same thing hotels and Tim Hortons does in BC. Charge people a fee to get a job. Charge them a fee to get a visa. Charge them a fee above and beyond the PR costs and have them work off that amount. Fire them unannounced and stop their PR application so they can’t come back. Really a shame to see it get so much attention in Taiwan and yet it goes on daily here at home.

It’s clear some of you have never truly nuked yourself in crash. It can take hours for the severity and complete picture of what you hurt and how bad to set it. Couple that with adrenaline and elite level racing and you might not know for hours. As stuff progresses, it can become clear very quick that you need to get checked for something that might’ve seemed okay initially. Loic has never shown anything put respect and professionalism, I’m sure there was a reason for everything that transpired.

Wow that was disappointing to read just getting home from Mt Hi. Not even the sad bit of Loic getting injured but the baseless speculation and weirdness from this forum lol. It's fcukin MSA not Andorra... If he's hurt to the level where he knows he can't put in a run to beat Jacko, he absolutely shouldn't take a run down any of those rock gardens for 'professionalism'. If he had to try to B line any rock garden he would be DQ'd for riding out of the poles anyway. It's not even a 'smart' decision from Bruni it's arguably...

It sounds like his leg was so goosed he couldn't even do a warm up, but was just up there to keep the pressure on Goldstone. It was a letdown having the defining moment of the season being some random guy in the start hut, but I don't really begrudge Bruni that. If I'd smoked my leg in practice on the most consequential day of the season, saw the other guy do an incredible run and knew there was nothing to ride for, I'd probably just dip out too. Trying to roll down MSA with an injured leg while being...

this is the (V)Anzac spirit in full force. You the man Mic! For those wondering, ANZAC is Australian New Zealand Army Corps which was derived in WW1 as we fought together, it is a spirit of brotherhood despite not knowing the other person but having a common goal. It warms the cockles of my heart knowing the spirit remains strong.

Yes, NZ rugby's system doesnt reward players like Carter etc anymore Aslong as they can follow orders and just stick to a plain gameplan with no flare they are automatically in the team, or if they sign a "you're Always in the AB's as long as you stay in nz regardless of form.... Just sign here..." NZ depth at 9 and 10 suck. they also need to Allow players to play the game infront of them, this is what Prime aaron smith, carter, OG barret etc used to do.

Multi-idler bro pivot with a pinion drag box. It could weigh 12 pounds and it would still pedal like dog dick.

I don't know if the production bikes use metal or carbon "lugs" still but thats broken exactly along the lines of where the lugs were on the prototype bike. It definitely irks me this type of failure - you don't need to make production bikes that light and you are really risking your customers by not simply beefing them up a little bit or doing more/better testing. There has been far too many public breakages of these to be a coincidence and Pivot just haven't acknowledged that there is either a flaw in the design or their particular manufacturing process...
