So, rumor is that Orbea is changing the rear triangle for next year to have a bridge and be a bit stiffer. That will be good for them to do since it seems like flex is one of the biggest grips on the frame and the tire rubbing bad. Did anyone else catch two different Orbeas snap in half at the world up?

New Specialized Enduro will drop early summer of 2027. It will come specced with a genie zeb fork. It will have a Genie vivid air, that is mounted vertically directly in front of the seat tube. The rear layout will look similar to a 2012 era Demo 8, but with a link that comes around the seat tube to the top of the shock.

haven't confirmed (maybe someone here can?) but have heard that garbanzo gondola closes wednesday for the season, so accessing the course/race by riding down isn't an option. creekside gondola won't be open for riding (it may already be closed?) and single-ride lift tickets for spectating to hike down are $27. we'll try to find out for sure, but if anyone here already knows, please add the intel.

Who at sram hurt you? I think I'm on record saying that the only thing worst than The XTR cassette being made of plates and cheese is the awfulness of the microspline driver. A plastic spacer to remove creaking isn't a solution. Anyways, back to the rumors: Is Transition the new Yeti?

On the subject of Santa Cruz, the syndicate’s sponsor lineup looks like it’s getting a bit messy - Burgtec, one up and Peaty’s all kind of make the same products now and it seems like the riders are mixing and matching. I’d guess they’ll be forced to go all in on one up at some point now that they’re a part of Pon, maybe they’ll even let Chris King go? Also interested to see what they do about o-chain now that it’s a sram product.

Finally. Bigger front rotors have never made any sense to me. The natural weight transfer induced by braking will make your front brake naturally more powerful, why would you amplify that effect with a bigger front rotor?

Previously I thought the T Type clutches really sucked because of all my chain noise but I have now realized my bike sounds like a shopping cart because the side of the chain hits the cog beside it and jingles and reverberates like mad. The chain has virtually no clearance, which I assume is standard. When you lightly tap the chain or the cassette with your finger, its like your playing the triangle. Landing two degrees sideways makes it sound like a shit. What options are there for this? Hot waxing your chain to give some damping? Belt conversion kit...

This is a sad development. Enduro as a sport changed mountain biking for the better. The fact that we are pedaling durable rigs that are nearly as good as DH bikes is a direct result of the EWS and its effect on mtb culture. It seemed to be an uphill battle in that the bikes stopped selling, both because they got to such a good place and [my lawyers have advised me to redact this reason for the death of the enduro bike as a growth sector].
