Cami making the switch to pickleball?

I was the one who originally floated the idea of maples to frameworks in the forum, people could have just read that and assumed I knew something.. but I didn’t, was just going off nekos vibe when commentating his runs. OTB podcast quite confidently said maples to pivot last episode.. but they are practically a bikepacking podcast now so can they really be relied on for mtb news? Hard to say.

Shimano has been on the “me too” cycle with mountain bike products for at least the last 10 years. It’s all just been reactions to what SRAM and others have been doing. Nominating them for any kind of award is just a hard no in my opinion.

Have you seen their e-bike ? Surely drugs and/or blindness was involved in the design process on that one. In all seriousness though, the collapse of many of these companies sure seems to follow the release of an ebike.

Is Deviate in trouble? No e-bikes have been received by shops, thought they were scheduled for early November? Everything on the website is “sold out” even the spare parts. I don’t like the look of it. Thoughts?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Since its a US holiday, I felt like going a touch more meta here and give some bigger picture thoughts... To start, and it goes without saying, but I’m continually impressed that this thread is still one of the best corners of the internet. Sorry, I really don’t have any inside info, just a bike nerd that got to bother Owen for 10 minutes. I wouldn’t count on V3s anytime soon. With the way the bike industry is going, they probably need focus their capital allocation on getting enough Druid-Es to dealers and customers. In PDX Cyclepath only got about ~8 of them and sold through quickly minus the one small. In my mind I would wait for the carbon molds to wear out before updating bikes, 3-4 years depending on yield from what I understand. Both the V2s IMO are good bikes.

Aston and Cahal have their quirks but calling them mediocre riders is complete BS. Both of those guys rip. Also 435 chainstay on a modern XL mtb is a joke IMO. Especially for a frame that costs $4k.
