The Cannondale was trying to separate and control damping but had a fixed wheel path. The bike Joe posted has a ‘variable’ wheel path depending on how the two shock compress at any given time.

I'm bored at work and reading Brembo's article about the new brakes, and one thing definitely stands out to me (besides the higher hydraulic leverage than Mavens !!!): "The braking system, both front and rear, includes an axial brake master cylinder that, in addition to the two common adjustments (lever distance and free stroke), also features center-to-center adjustment, allowing riders...

I've been noticing a lot of pedal kickback riding my trailbike equipped with a Pike Ultimate. I didn't know how to describe it besides "when the fork goes into compression I crash a lot more often." Who knew that the fork lowers were directly tied to the cassette? I know I didn't. But it explains all my crashes. THAT is probably why I'm crashing all the time, right? Right? Definitely not a skill issue.

36lbs for a medium alloy frame with a coil shock, heavy hubs, and DH tires is actually really good.

I'm going with fender integration. And/or bike rack protection. It has depth, yet is hollow.

Major overthinking here - but that banjo crimp fitting looks very similar to the ones used on the Hayes Dominions, not sure any others use one structured exactly like that. You have a sortof indention near the banjo end followed by horizontal lines, most others lack that indention. The lever adjuster is also similar to what Hayes uses. May not mean much in either case, a rotary reach adjuster is hardly unique and I'm sure those fittings just come from a supplier in large quantities, but maybe worth noting.

Specialized Project Black is an internal development initiative by Specialized that focuses on creating and testing advanced pre-production cycling products in real-world scenarios. This program leverages feedback from professional athletes to refine designs, some of which eventually become available to the public. The initiative encompasses a range of components, including frames, tires, saddles, and handlebars. Notably, the S-Works Tarmac SL8 Project Black LTD frameset, initially developed for pro riders like Remco Evenepoel and Demi Vollering, was later released in limited quantities to end users.
