I'd assume the picture is worse with Shimano. Most the way through COVID brands knew not to overbuy on SRAM because the transmission cannon was about to go off so I feel like they biased toward Shimano. That way if transmission didn't work out well at least there is still reasonably high end Shimano stuff they can use (XT and xtr). Now with new Shimano about to drop brands are really sweating it. Based on what has been said about GT, it seems the decision was, for all intents and purposes, quite abrupt. Could be MS was making a deal or had a deal done before GT got the rug pulled from underneath of them. On the other hand you'd think someone approving budgets would know of both the option of GT getting hibernated AND the MS deal being in the works and might give a heads up on not letting the deal being made? On the third hand said person privy to that information could not care one bit about the MS...

Just listened to the MUTN podcast , moves I hadn't heard before were Cam Bal to Yeti , heather Wilson to Mondraker and Greg Williamson to Gamux . The other one was the MS team off Mondraker frames and on GT but obviously that looks unlikely now although I would imagine contracts would of been already signed so who knows. Worth adding that the rumor about felix Griffiths paying for a spot on the syndicate is untrue and he's there the same as any other rider .
