10/28/2024 1:28pm I read the new rules and all I saw was maximum number of riders per team. Not minimum. Although with four riders scoring points, you need four to be competitive

10/28/2024 7:41am From a budget and marketing perspective, that might make sense. At least in my circles, Scott seams to appeal more to the boomer XC market rather than the DH/Freeride market, at least when compared to brands like Commencal, Canyon, Specialized, Transition, Trek, Mondraker, Intense, Frameworks, Forbidden, Norco, and the like. For Scott to gain more market share in the gravity...

10/28/2024 4:57am Without Marine, Scott factory team won't have near enough points to be among the top 15 in the team ranking.

10/25/2024 5:20am They'll be doing downhill, I'd imagine. Richie seems capable and motivated. He'll do well enough. Send Slawomir to all the stage races, Megavalanches, some EDRs, all the US stuff like Leadville or Downieville or Maah Daah Hey 100 (little shout out for a cool race up here in North Dakota) and all the wild stuff he's willing to do. He'll do great and get to advertise the entire Yeti line. Hire a filmer/editor to follow him around (super bonus for being a decent bike mechanic, too) and he's now a very loud part of the Yeti marketing arm. Hire a...

10/24/2024 4:55am that frame is borrowed from trek factory racing, they wouldn‘t ride enve wheels and non-sharpied maxxis tires. but rumor is that he will be on TFR in 2025… but that pic‘s not a confirmation.

10/24/2024 4:55am After listening to Vojo mag: lunch time podcast with Alex Rudeau (in French), it appears the first ever enduro world champion is going into 2025 without team support, on his own program. He’s also not planning to race all World Cup races. He tells that most of the edr racers are on same as he is, except a few big names, like Jesse Melamed, that are keeping some team support but at a way smaller scale. And others, like Martin Maes, are turning full downhill. An other point thing discussed is that some top enduro racers are coordinating to pack...

10/22/2024 12:22pm Yeah - trail builder friend of mine has been working with the trail crew advising on some new features and plans and he heard it there. AFAIK Deer Valley has no interest in hosting summer cycling events, They've denied a few potential stops to reuse the old Nats racetrack. Nothing's been done since the Scott Enduro Cup shut down in 2018/19. With parking and in-resort amenities I agree. Solitude could host a US Open and smaller DH series but they'd need to put in work for a World Cup. The terrain would make for a pretty sweet race though.

10/22/2024 12:22pm That is a wild rumor. If any resort(s) in Utah were set-up to host a large bike event it would be Deer Valley (ultimately the same corporate overlords as Solitude, Alterra) or Park City (Vail Resorts). Solitude has limited parking, limited accommodations, and limited restaurants. Everyone would need to stay in Salt Lake Valley and drive 30-40 minutes up each day. Doesn't make much logistical sense. Super intersted to see if this has any legs.
